That is so tough. Sword Art Online will probably get my vote. For me that set the stage for an exciting wild ride within the game.
Yamato: 2199 is mine, basic Plot and almost all the main characters are introduced with the end shot of the sunken Yamato really caps the episode off almost perfectly.
