Wow, just wow, Steve Jones bashing Sheild Hero because the story doesn’t suit his political leanings. I mean seriously how can I ever take his reviews seriously when he starts out with
If I’m calling an anime the worst of the year, it’s not sufficient that it merely be a “bad” show. It needs to be something actively, politically awful.
See the point of the show is, that Naofumi is in another world where his world view goes against what this alternate world’s world view is like. It creates conflict & drama which I last checked was required for story telling. He adapts to survive a world that has basically shunned him. Does he become jaded at points? sure, but that he continues to fight for the good of the people and not the powers that be, is one of the highlights of the series.
