‘Ghostbusters’ Stars Taunt Internet Trolls With Their Cover of Iconic Theme Song
Saturday, June 18th, 2016 at 7:24am PST
People have been making fun of songs for years, but hardly anyone will see that from Graham Norton, nor will they care.
I wonder if they realize that attacking the fanbase is NOT going to make people want to watch their movie more. Several industries have tried this and backlash from fans lost them LOTS of money and had to change business models to compensate or even products and scrap product lines…

That “song” is pure trash. Not because it changed the song, but just the beat itself and tempo is trash for ANYTHING. The intro even sounds like the Jason Vorhees rip-off ch-ch-ch-ch-ch sound autotuned. If they wanted something different they should have had Blue Man Group do the music. Even Missy sounds bad in this and William Shatner could have spoken it better than these people. It is strained and has no life. They would have done better jsut using Darude Sandstorm or Noma Brian Power and setting the original type lyrics to it.

Why not lash out, maybe people are jsut sick and tired of reboots. Make something new for a franchise or make a new franchise. People are sick of seeing the same thing over and over every 30 years. Why are people getting paid to “write” something somebody wrote 30 years ago?
It as dumb as Disney somehow having rights t things that were in the public domain before Walt used them.
Would you rathr hae seen Risky Business 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or Mission Impossible (bad remake, but not a reboot per say), Top Gun, etc?
Reboots and prequels are laziness and people are sick of them since Phantom Menace.
What if Wayne’s World had made a bunch more movies and we didn’t have Austin Powers because of it? Ace Venture instead of Mask?
Who are these idiots trying to fool? The public has spoken, and they do NOT want any more reboots, prequels, etc. Get new material!
30 year old movies still exist and people can watch them thanks to current technology. VHS tapes still work, DVDs, Netflix. Hell even 60 year old movies still exist. People wanting to see them can find the original, they don’t need reboots!Make something new worth watching not another Ghostbusters reboot, or Tarzan reboot, or Snow White reboot, or Cinderella reboot, or Mary Poppins reboot, or Superman reboot, or Batman reboot, or Spiderman reboot, or Terminator reboot, or Punisher reboot, or Total Recall reboot, or Star Trek reboot, or True Grit reboot, or Dune reboot, etc.

Original ‘Ghostbusters’ Director Rationalizes The Reboot’s Hate
Friday, July 1st, 2016 at 9:05am PST
People hate reboots and remakes that were ALIVE to see the original… go figure.
New audiences to a franchise? They probably already watched their families DVDs or BluRay of the original and don’t need Hollywood to waste money making the same movie 40 times, they have seen Ghostbusters 1, and dont need to see a Ghostbusters 1 2016 version.
MAKE NEW THINGS, NEW STORIES! <- that is what people want.
Want to make a remake for new people, I am sure Kelly Lebrock is outdated, so have a couple “teen heartthrobs” or whatever use their cell phones to take images from the web and put them into an XBox with some electrical surge that both BSOD’s the XBox and creates a half naked pantyly-clad Emma Watson coming out of their closet to grant them wishes. Oh wait, got to modernize it more, so it is 2 girls, not guys making their perfect girl, so throw them ALL in underwear and… nope, that has probably been done on Playboy channel, so it would jsut be a remake, not a reboot, and TOTAL different story!
retro works for things that are GONE, not things we still have. Bell-bottoms didn’t come back as skinny jeans, they came back as bell-bottoms. Because people wanted bell-bottoms that didn’t have access to them before when they went out of production. Movies, TV shows… … a DVD can last 100 years and doesnt have degradation as tapes or celluloid do.
Digital era means you got to take LONGER to remake something when the original no longer exists, or you failed with the original. New Conan, nothing like Arnold version. Different audiences, wanting different things and the story doesnt work when removed from its roots and designed world.
Dick Tracy wouldn’t work with everyone having a computer or tablet or cell phone, his watch would no longer be special, and we already have 400 CSI series. So when it was made, it was done in the ORIGINAL setting of the roaring mobster 20s.
Ivan may like the new movie, but who cares, same for Dan, etc that invested money into it. You have to make your movies for people that watch movies, not people that make movies or want money from movies.
Where is Eldest the later book from Eragon? Where is the second book in the series of the Golden Compass? New generations have ALL the old stuff available and thanks to the internet, the world will make sure they do for more than 100 years from now, so you got to make new things to interest people, plain and simple as that. Nostalgia remakes don’t work because modern technology doesn’t leave time to get nostalgic because everything is on TV or DVD, or NetFlix available anytime someone wants it ON DEMAND.

I looked up to the male Ghostbusters as a kid.It wasn’t what was between their legs that made me look at them like [censored] heroes. It was what they did, it was their character, it was their bravery. I don’t think you have to change the gender of a character in order for someone to be able to look up to them.
Yup, only males hate the all female cast because that is what makes people dislike this movie. ~facepalm~
People just don’t want this rehashed garbage, when they have a BETTER movie to watch in the original.
Nose ring, pink hair, gauges… call me crazy but this girl seems to be the voice of the current generation so it ain’t jsut old fogies like me that don’t car for this, and proves… younger generations HAVE seen the original because it is still around after 32 years, so probably do NOT need a new one.
GET IT TOGETHER HOLLYWOOD! WE DON’T WANT REMAKES, GET NEW STORIES TO TELL!
don’t know were you’ve been these last few…centuries, but there’s no such thing as “NEW STORIES”.
everything is nothing but a rehash/new take of an old classic.
oh yeah…
