Maya Yoshioka, Saori Hayami, Yō Taichi star in video anime premiering in theaters July 5
 Eek, TV-14-V? Kinda harsh for this show, considering how little the tank fights affect the girls themselves, no matter how intense the battles get. I’d rank this TV-PG-DSV at worst (since there is light fanservice); Dragon Ball Z Kai is more openly violent than this, including bloodshed and decapitation (not counted the edited for TV versions on Nicktoons and The CW) and that got away with a TV-PG on the uncut box set.
While there is a universal rating system for TV shows, there is no body that enforces standards. So companies like Sentai and Funimation are free to rate their releases however they see fit.
TV age ratings matter for Sentai anime? In the words of Zoidberg: “When did this happen?!”
Only 1 week to go before the dub of this goes live and I can finally watch it in its most refined form. 7 days until I can see what all the buzz is about a show where high school girls, who look like they could be elementary school girls, use dated tanks to, among other things, become better wives.

that is almost ¥1 million per minute, but is that good? is it more than sales of a home video product would be? could it cause them to make more Ooarai High School shenanigans?
After that Harmony Gold announcement that they needed half a million to “help” cover the costs of creating a 24 minute episode I’m leaning towards “no” (to question #1).
That’s only in 14 theatres, though. I don’t know that it would have the wide appeal to be distributed everywhere, but “first weekend of advance screenings” implies it will see wider release and perhaps more screenings in the following weeks.

New tanks, characters appear in upcoming film reuniting TV anime’s director, staff
Kind of hoping Sentai can grab this and the Anzio OVA…
As am I.
They’ve already proven they’re not afraid to release single OVAs on a disc all by themselves, so it would be a good investment for them to get it.
Though Showgate doesn’t currently list it on their site as one of their licenses, so it might be rather difficult for Sentai to grab, depending on who actually has the license for it.
Just saw the Anzio OVA and I give it a major thumbs up…
Ceaser gets a bit of the spotlight this time and the show starts out with Yukari’s recon of Anzio.
By the way, Sentai, if you guys license the Anzio OVA, could you release it in a 4-disc holder Blu-Ray case? (So we could have the TV Series, OVA, and Anzio Disc all in one case) We short of space people would greatly appreciate it.
What would we do with the original bluray cases then?
You can just toss it and put the cover on the new case, even it probably won’t fit. Or store it somewhere.
