Shame its a nice word. (And use of Bush abuse you slipped in there). Actually not many people use it over here either, its a bit of a toff word (Search youtube for Tim Tim nice but dim). People are more likely to say “Dat bird iz well fit init mate, I iz like nursin a semi mind”.

Ah, the chav. I’ve heard of them before. Now I see why they are so… “highly regarded”.

Women primp and groom themselves all the time. What’s the weirdest beauty ritual to you, or the one you’d most want to understand?

Well, I could go a couple ways with this one.
First off, I could say makeup. Not so much the practice of wearing makeup, but the girls/women that feel it necessary to apply their makeup via a paint-roller and a high-pressure hose. The girls/women that wear five pounds of makeup and end up looking like the Joker. Especially the “scene girls”. Just doesn’t seem necessary to me. =

On another, I’d have to say hair. I’m amazed at how a girl can go into the bathroom to “do her hair” and come out an hour later saying “okay, done.” and her hair looks exactly the same as it did when she went in. Truly an enigma.

Ha, yes i have to agree with you on that!

What is the point of pulling your eyebrows out completely, then painting them back on?

Some women (not me) believe that their eyebrows are in the wrong place. So they pluck out their own and redraw them in the ‘correct’ position.

Body Dysmorphia is a sad thing, often people with it (It affects men also but its much more rare) look good and then ruin themselves with makeup and cosmetic surgery, which they become addict to, to the point their face is too weak to have any more. Wearing makeup also damages your skin.

You need to make sure you remove your makeup at night (I don’t know how well known this is).

And just so you know… women didn’t start it:

•In ancient Egypt, priests plucked EVERY hair from their bodies, including their eyebrows and eyelashes.

Ouch!

Don’t laugh. I know a couple of guys that pluck their eyebrows (& they aren’t gay).

Also, men throughout history have plucked body hair. Add to the Egyptians certain ancient Roman and Medieval cults. And some Native Americans.

And people say women are vain!

I think I’ve always felt guys are way more vain than women

Mmmm… I don’t ever really do anything with my hair. I don’t understand the spending shitloads of time on hair either.

I agree about the hair. It doesn’t cost that much time to keep it nice.

It can also sometimes depend on the guy you are with too. I knew a married couple once, where the guy would go out with his wife, but he had to have her with perfect hair & make-up. A trophy to show off. Needless to say that they were only married a few years. She got sick of having to pass inspection every time she wanted to leave the house!!

I second the eyebrow question.

(Oh, I see the answer)

What’s “hotter”? Women putting their hair up or down?
