LoGH and Hidive are featured in a Forbes article.
so what does this mean? That are accounts will be moved? Or our current yearly subscriptions get counted for a HIDIVE subscription?
If you have an annual subscription, you can get a credit from Hidive for a membership there.
The HiDive player reminds me of ⌠Ahem ⌠Amazonâs player. Just a little, though to be honest there are a lot of players that seem to have similar look & feel so that may not be where itâs roots are. I doubt that converting over any of the ANO data would be practical. Likely the back-end systems are very different and HiDive is putting all their resources behind getting their site functional.

I have a response from Admin for you. Iâm sorry, but no. The queue wonât carry over because the sites are different entities.
Any word yet on the discount/credit for ANO Premium members, especially annual subscription ones? Also, I was told they have no plans to offer annual subscriptions at this time. I would suggest we politely ask them to follow the lead of Crunchyroll and Funimation and provide an annual subscription option.
I imagine they arenât offering one right now because the subscription rate is already temporarily discounted. If they do, I imagine it wonât be until the rates returns to its normal level.
I found the HIDIVE âContact Usâ page and sent them the following question.
I have read that you will be offering a discount or credit for Anime Network Online (ANO) Premium members who have an annual membership I have an annual membership and would like to know if this is true, what the offer will be and when should we expect to see it. I would also like to urge you to offer an annual membership option. It is more convenient for me to pay for the year at one shot than to have to ensure that the correct amount is in the correct account every month. In an unrelated matter, I hope you are seeing success with a Roku app. I have a Roku TV and a Streaming Stick for my other TV and prefer to watch anime on my 55 in. Roku TV than on my computer.
This is the reply I received from Haley in HIDIVE support:
There will be an email sent out soon to users who have the annual subscription with ANO that will provide you with the details needed for the special offer that will be available to you. As far as the apps go, we are working on them, so stay tuned. Have a great day!
This makes me feel better, especially the part about the apps. The only thing they didnât address was the possibility of offering an annual subscription option. Iâll take what I can get right now and just keep working on that last point.
My gut is telling me that as long as they have that intro price, a yearly option may not appear. It would have to be 47.88 a year or less. If they have a yearly option, but itâs more than that with the payment system theyâre using, the intro price at a monthly level is a better deal.
I figure it will go up 5.99 - 6.99 / month after the site is out of Beta, then they should offer the $50 / yearly option or something similar
The thing of it is, youâre all missing my point. Iâm not looking for a discount through an annual membership. Iâm looking for the convenience of being able to make one payment and then not worrying about it for the next twelve months. The discount/credit for existing ANO annual premium members is a side issue to HIDIVE providing an annual subscription option.
As long as they can produce an application for Playstation and keep these forums running I will subscribe.
