Plot Summary: Kujo Jotaro is a normal, popular Japanese high-schooler, until he thinks that he is possessed by a spirit, and locks himself in prison. After seeing his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, and fighting Joseph’s friend Muhammad Abdul, Jotaro learns that the “Sprirt” is actually Star Platinum, his Stand, or fighting energy given a semi-solid form. Later, his mother gains a Stand, and becomes sick. Jotaro leanrs that it is because the vampire Dio Brando has been revived 100 years after his defeat to Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro’s great-great-grandfather. Jotaro decides to join Joseph and Abdul in a trip to Egypt to defeat Dio once and for all.

Genres: action, comedy, supernatural, thriller
Objectionable content: Intense
Plot Summary: The year is 1987 and 17-year-old Jotaro Kujo finds himself suddenly plagued by a ghost-like entity. Jotaro’s grandfather Joseph Joestar, a veteran of a fight to save humanity fifty years prior, arrives with his own supernatural aura and explains that this power, known as a “Stand,” physically manifests its user’s spirit and can be controlled by its user at will. The sudden emergence of these Stands is revealed to be caused by the revival of the megalomaniacal vampire DIO (the Joestar’s longtime enemy) whose awakening from his century-long slumber has triggered Stands to awaken down the Joestar family line, including in Jotaro’s mother whose uncontrollable Stand will ultimately kill her in a few weeks’ time. Jotaro, Joseph, and their allies have fifty days to locate DIO (using their Stands to thwart DIO’s network of devoted Stand-user minions along the way) and eliminate DIO himself in order to save Jotaro’s mother and prevent DIO’s ambitions of world domination.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
Episode 1 -

spoiler

What Dio did to that dog, I would love to to to him! What a rotten individual. And I’m sure it will only get worse.

Episode 3 –

spoiler

So, the mask turned Dio into a vampire. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. But of course he’s immortal now. And he can make more vampires. Interesting too that not even fire can destroy him, but considering his last experiment, sunlight can. JoJo thinks he’s killed Dio, but of course he isn’t dead. I wonder what will kill this monster, if anything.

Break Planned in “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders” Anime

Also reiterated that an adaptation of part four has not been greenlit

So what is the deal with this dub? It’s out quite early and its intent is shrouded in mystery. They promoted it again at Otakon but with little fanfare and structure, by which I mean that it wasn’t an event framed by an obvious industry interest, like the (much worse) Kill La Kill dub.

The dub was hilarious. The show was begging for an all-out Stephen Foster dub (Swasey and Illich…) but what it got was much better than what I expected.

BTW, if the guy who plays the “Piccolo” figure in this doesn’t watch out then he’ll be typecast
