Episode 12 –

[details=spoiler]It looks like Ryuko is doing all the fighting here. She’s going to exhaust herself. Nui tells her that she killed her father because of Senketsu. It also sounds like Nui may not be human. She almost defeats Ryuko by pulling out that Banshi thread again, but thankfully, Senketsu has more than one!

Flashback to how Nui paid a visit to Ryuko’s father and killed him, but not before he took her eye. Ryuko gets even more overworked and her blood boils, turning Senketsu into a monster that devours Ryuko. It’s not good as Ryuko completely loses control, but Nui seems happy about it.

Satsuki orders the Elite Four to evacuate the students while she transforms. Ryuko continues to evolve as a monster and Mako is determined to save her. Tsumugu approaches Ryuko and Nui resents his interference. Nui ends up going after him. With her out of the way, Mikisugi has a clear shot to Ryuko, but she sees him. Tsumugu stops her and Nui gets annoyed again.

Satsuki arrives and can’t reach Ryuko. Her only choice now is “to put her down”. It’s a good fight and they begin to come together for a final strike when Mako shows up. She holds on to Ryuko, calling for her, and Nui is going to kill her, but Satsuki stops her. Mako does it! She brings Ryuko back!

Mikisugi is relieved, Tsumugu thinks he needs more training, and Satsuki bans Nui from the school. But that isn’t going to stop Nui from having her fun. A few days later, Ryuko is better and looking for Nui. Satsuki says that she was the ultimate one responsible for her father’s death. She had sent Nui to get the Rending Scissors in the first place. And now Satsuki has improved the Goku Uniforms and plans to conquer any other schools that oppose her![/details]

Episode 13 –

[details=spoiler]Satsuki wasn’t kidding as she holds a strategy meeting for the Tri-City Schools Raid Trip. Preparations are complete for raids on Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe. And Inumuta already has the Information Strategy Team at work. Iori has the Special Goku Uniforms ready. They look like track suits this time. LOL Looks like the Elite Four are forgiven as well, since they are all getting new Three-Star Goku Uniforms. But for now, they are stuck with the special uniforms that everyone else is getting, while adjustments are made on the new ones. Satsuki is satisfied with the preparations, and she’s ready to go!

Ryuko is still recovering and has developed an aversion to Senketsu. She probably thinks she’ll turn into a monster again. She actually has recovered enough, but is a bit on the depressed side and just doesn’t get out of bed. Mako brings Shinjiro Nagita – formerly of the Newspaper Club – to see Ryuko and he fills her in on what is going on at school. He hopes that she can do something about it, but Ryuko isn’t interested and chases him from the house.

Satsuki reports to her mother and promises her a one-day victory. But Satsuki also asks about Nui and tells Ragyo that she won’t let anyone interfere with her plans. However, Nui has her own plans, and not even Ragyo’s warning dissuades her. Well, it wasn’t much of a warning at that. Although banned from school, Nagita recruits Mako to help him, saying that he is through with running from the Disciplinary Committee. He speaks out against Satsuki as he has Mako hand out newspapers. So, now the Disciplinary Committee is after both of them, but perhaps that was Nagita’s plan all along. If Mako is in danger, maybe Ryuko will react. Nagita tells Mako to run as he takes on the Disciplinary Committee by himself.

Nagita ends up running as Mako gets caught by Gamagoori. He puts her to work loading the raid trucks. Ryuko claims that she isn’t afraid of Senketsu, but of herself. Senketsu tries to encourage her, but Nagita bursts through her window with the Disciplinary Committee right on his heels. They beat him to a pulp, but Mako’s dad also gets injured, before they drag Nagita away, and that is the catalyst that Ryuko needs.

Finally putting on Senketsu, Ryuko saves Nagita – from puppets? It was a set up! Nagita is Nui in disguise! They fight, but Nui notices that Ryuko is holding back. Nui quickly defeats Ryuko, cutting up Senketsu in the process. But just as Nui is about to kill Ryuko, Satsuki shows up. Saying that she’s bored, Nui makes a quick retreat. Satsuki gives what remains of Senketsu to Iori to be divided among “suitable hosts”. Satsuki announces the beginning of the Raid Trip and poor Mako gets dragged along. Mikisugi finds the unconscious Ryuko with a remaining piece of Senketsu clutched in her fist. He looks up at Satsuki’s helicopter as she leads the raid. This can’t be the end of Senketsu and Ryuko![/details]

Episode 14 –

[details=spoiler]After having a nightmare about Senketsu, Ryuko jerks awake to find herself in Mikisugi’s office once again. They fill each other in on what happened, Ryuko telling Mikisugi that Nagita was Nui, and Mikisugi telling her that he found her unconscious. Ryuko tells him that Nui shredded Senketsu and she could do nothing to stop her. She hears Senketsu’s voice and Mikisugi hands her the piece she was holding when he found her. Senketsu tells Ryuko what has happened to the rest of him and that Satsuki is responsible.

With the piece of Senketsu tired around her neck, Ryuko takes off for Kansai. Mikisugi is giving up his teacher disguise and will become the “Splendid Naked Officer of Nudist Beach” that he truly is. Shedding his clothes, he takes off in his car, Nude Shooting Star. This should be fun! LOL

The raid units have arrived at their destinations and everyone is in position. Satsuki orders the tri-city raid to begin and the troops move out. But the schools are ready for them and put up a defensive line. However, the schools are no match for Satsuki’s troops and the amusing fights are flowing in favor of Satsuki. At least Mako got to try some of the local food and she was very happy. LOL

And here comes Ryuko! Just in time, she slices through Gamagoori’s troops and cuts out the pieces of Senketsu from their uniforms. Next, Ryuko hits Jakuzure’s troops and regains more pieces of Senketsu. Then Sanageyama’s troops are next, and it was funny watching Mako, carrying her souvenirs, take a tour of Osaka with warfare raging all around her. She eventually gets caught for desertion and Ryuko arrives in time to rescue her, while getting more of Senketsu back in the process. There is only one piece left now, but Satsuki herself has it equipped. Ryuko has gotten much stronger on her own, but without Senketsu, I don’t think she stands a chance against Satsuki. However, I’m sure she’ll find a way to get that final fragment of Senketsu back![/details]

Ep. 16

[details=spoiler]So… symbiotic alien clothing gave homo sapiens increased cerebral capacity, hence created modern homo sapiens.

Wow… that really is some reaching.[/details]

Episode 15 –

[details=spoiler]That sure was an interesting way of getting into the Nudist Beach headquarters! LOL And the troops are ready! LOL

Satsuki now faces Sanageyama’s opponent. They’ve met before and Satsuki is just insulted that this man thinks to buy everything, including human life, with money. She proves that fear rules more than money as the human shields run away from her power. Takarada is all but done. Then he brings out his Dotonbori Robo! Like that is going to stop Satsuki.

Takarada does manage to take out Sanageyama’s troops, but Gamagoori and Jakuzure show up. Inumuta shows up too and Sanageyama gets his new uniform. After a one on one battle, Sanageyama wins as expected. But as Satsuki talks to the defeated Takarada, Ryuko arrives with Mako. She has come for the last piece of Senketsu and will fight Satsuki to get it. I still wonder how Ryuko will manage this.

Satsuki transforms and I know Ryuko is no match for Junketsu. But the timely arrival of Tsumugu and the Nudist Beach troops may help. Mikisugi soon joins them, but this is all a trap! The Tri-City Raid was just a ploy to smoke out the rebels of Nudist Beach. Satsuki knew who Mikisugi was all along too.

Nudist Beach now gets to face the Elite Four in their new uniforms. Ryuko is determined to don the incomplete Senketsu, but he protests. However, Ryuko overrides them and puts on the uniform. She attacks Satsuki and it’s enough to get the glove back. Now, Senketsu is complete! Yay! Ryuko and Satsuki can fight on even ground now.

Satsuki realizes that Ryuko is a lot stronger now. It was also interesting to see Gamagoori’s reaction when Mako almost got caught in the middle of their fight. But even with all of Senketsu’s different forms, it looks like Ryuko is still the weaker opponent compared to Satsuki. But she rallies and gets Satsuki in a tight spot. Seeing that her friends are facing the Elite Four, Ryuko tells Satsuki to withdraw her troops. Surprisingly, Satsuki does as requested.

However, Jakuzure goes against that order and attacks. Reporting back to Satsuki that the Nudist Beach base is destroyed, Jakuzure is praised rather than reprimanded. Satsuki can still return home in triumph now. And Mikisugi is ready to tell Ryuko everything he knows. About time![/details]

Wow… that really is some reaching.[/details][/quote]

I suppose clothes really do “make the man” after all! LOL Well, someone had to say it!

Episode 16 –

[details=spoiler]A recap at lightning speed! Well done! LOL Satsuki seems to be having some problems with Junketsu. That’s interesting. It looks like they don’t have the same kind of relationship that Ryuko and Senketsu do. Well, with Satsuki’s attitude, I’m not surprised. Nui managed to get aboard Satsuki’s helicopter and tells Satsuki that her mother has summoned her home to report on the Tri-City Raid.

Mikisugi and Tsumugu have survived and Mikisugi is prepared to tell Ryuko everything. Mako chooses to stay by Ryuko’s side rather than returning home. They all dive into the river to reach the Nudist Beach base. Satsuki meets with her mother in the bath. Ragyo performs an interesting ritual purification on her daughter. She will be sending Satsuki off to discover “the origin of power”.

The Nudist Beach base isn’t totally destroyed, but it is badly damaged. But there is one cavern that did not get hit and it just happens to be an actual nudist beach! LOL There are reserve troops there and I think Mako was really enjoying the view. LOL Those utility belts don’t quite cover everything! But the guns are in an interesting position. Ryuko learns that her father created and funded Nudist Beach. I liked Mako’s vision of things too! LOL Ryuko gets a lesson in clothing and Life Fibers. I guess clothes really do make the man or humanity in this case.

At the Kiryuin Manor, Ragyo takes Satsuki into a forbidden room. Satsuki witnesses the origin of power – the Primordial Life Fiber! And it’s from outer space! This combined with Mikisugi’s teachings makes for a very unique view of past history on Earth. Mikisugi explains it further and Ryuko finds out more about Senketsu and her role in fighting Life Fibers. Ryuko knows it all now and that she will have to fight the Kiryuin Empire in earnest.

Meanwhile, with the supposed success of the Tri-City Raid and the destruction of Nudist Beach, Ragyo intends to move on to the next step. At Honnouji Academy, the Ragyo Stadium has been completed and the Cultural and Sports Grand Festival can now take place. Satsuki gasps, but agrees. I’m guessing this isn’t a good thing. But Satsuki is the heir and a good daughter that won’t disappoint her mother.

Ryuko doesn’t see Senketsu only as a weapon and is insulted that others see him that way. She doesn’t want to use Senketsu to save humanity and would rather go naked. Ryuko takes off Senketsu, saying that there is no reason for either of them to fight. If that’s the case, then Tsumugu is ready to kill both of them. I can’t wait to see how all this turns out![/details]

Ep. 17

[size=16]WTF!![/size]

SHIT JUST GOT REAL!!

Episode 17 –

[details=spoiler]Satsuki praises her minions for a job well done during the Tri-City Raid. She also announces a visit by Ragyo and unveils the new stadium. This occasion shall be the Cultural and Sports Grand Festival.

Meanwhile, Ryuko is still facing off against Tsumugu. But she hasn’t a chance without Senketsu. Mako intervenes and Senketsu speaks up as well. Ryuko ends up wearing Senketsu again. She looks over the devastated Osaka and she knows too now that Life Fibers are from outer space, thanks to Mikisugi filling her in. At least the Nudist Beach group makes a little more sense now.

It turns out too that Tsumugu’s sister died during a Life Fiber experiment, which explains his hatred. It seems too that Ryuko father was involved in that experiment. I liked Tsumugu’s little training session there with him shooting at clothes. Ryuko also finds out that Senketsu really was made just for her. He was created with her DNA. This surprises Ryuko, but it really shouldn’t considering how good she and Senketsu are together.

Gamagoori announces that the no star students and their parents are to welcome Ragyo as spectators and they are given special clothes to wear. I’m not too sure about those clothes. They look like the ones that the Primordial Life Fiber was making. But that seems to be Ragyo’s master plan anyway. Mako’s family confronts Gamagoori and demands to know where their daughter and Ryuko are. Gamagoori informs them that the girls have been branded as rebels. He also tells them that their home is confiscated and that they are banished from the town. But he will pardon them if they participate in the festival. At least Gamagoori admits that the girls are alive, and once the family finds out that the festival will be catered, they willingly agree to participate – and to clean their plates! LOL

Mikisugi and company are monitoring the events at the academy. Mikisugi comes to the conclusion that Ragyo is about to perform the final experiment and explains it to the others. Everyone is about to be sacrificed in order to fully awaken the Life Fibers! Being eaten by your clothes is a horrible thought. Almost makes me want to join Nudist Beach myself. LOL

Of course Ryuko isn’t going to let that experiment happen! Especially since Mako’s family will be part of it. Ryuko vows to take on both mother and daughter. Senketsu and Tsumugu are with her. Mikisugi will take a stand as well. That glint of light from his gun still cracks me up. And what a big gun it is too! Mikisugi gives Tsumugu some special equipment to cut Life Fibers.

The plan is to leave Mako safely behind, but she won’t hear of it. She wants to go home – with all her accumulated souvenirs. Mako will not take no for an answer and gets behind Ryuko on the motorcycle. Mako won’t abandon her family or Ryuko! Unfortunately, Satsuki already knows they are coming. She isn’t worried. In fact she needed them to come. Interesting. Satsuki calls her elites together and toasts to the success of the festival.

The following day, Satsuki opens the festival with a speech glorifying her conquests. Then the moment comes to introduce Ragyo. The lady makes a grand entrance, dressed to the nines, and the crowd cheers and applauds. Satsuki greets her mother and Ragyo walks up to her place of honor and makes her speech. Ragyo presses a button and the Life Fibers begin to feed on their human hosts.

Ryuko and company arrives, but they may be too late. Mako is told to hide while the others storm the stadium. The sight that greets them is appalling. With the exception of Mako’s little brother, who sold his uniform, everyone has been completely engulfed by the Life Fibers. As Ragyo glories in the success of her experiment, Ryuko arrives to challenge her, and demands that everyone be turned back to normal.

As Ragyo talks to Ryuko, Satsuki runs her mother through with her sword! She tosses Ragyo off her sword and the woman is suddenly crucified, her blood raining down over everyone. What the? Satsuki declares herself and her academy in rebellion against Ragyo. Satsuki intends to overthrow the Life Fibers! Does this mean that Ryuko and Satsuki are allies now? Wow! However, I don’t think Ragyo is quite dead either. There is more to her than meets the eye, especially when she has the Primordial Life Fiber in her corner.[/details]

Episode 18 –

[details=spoiler]Satsuki declares war against the Life Fibers, and releases the spectators from their prisons. The students throw off their uniforms to reveal new ones. Nui is impressed, but has to fight Sanageyama before she can get to Satsuki. Ryuko is just stunned by everything, not to mention confused. Satsuki is gracious enough to allow Ryuko, Mikisugi, and Tsumugu to join her fight. But I see Ragyo smiling. I know she has something up her sleeve!

Of course Ragyo isn’t dead. Satsuki is right to call her mother a monster. Even as they talk, Ragyo wounds are healing. Satsuki instructs the audience to burn their clothing. Nui is up against the Elite Four and seems to be beating all of them. But they aren’t giving up!

Mako is finally reunited with her family. But Gamagoori puts her in charge of evacuating the spectators. That doesn’t go so well, so she comes up with another idea. Food moves the masses! LOL Satsuki tells how her mother used her for experiments and when they failed, used her newborn baby, fusing the infant with Life Fibers. The baby dies and Ragyo felt nothing. She truly is a monster! That’s when dad turned from Ragyo and put the future in his daughter’s hands.

Satsuki has a good plan – going after Ragyo and the Primordial Life Fiber at the same time. Or it was a good plan. Even though Satsuki has planned this rebellion her entire life, Ragyo breaks free and takes over the students, turning them into her personal army. She sends them after Satsuki and she has no choice but to transform and fight them. Ryuko and company join in as well.

Ragyo ends up controlling Ryuko as well and has her attack Satsuki. However, Ryuko manages to break free of the mind control and intends to go after Ragyo, but ends up facing Nui instead. Nui tells her that Ragyo and herself were the ones behind Ryuko’s death and taunts her into getting revenge. That’s enough for Ryuko! Leaving Ragyo to Satsuki, she goes after Nui. But Satsuki had no intention of letting it be any other way. Completely in sync with Senketsu, Ryuko is doing great against Nui.

Satsuki has severed her mother’s head! But somehow I don’t think even that will keep Ragyo down for long. The Primordial Fiber breaks free and sure enough, Ragyo is fine. She reattaches her head and takes her daughter by the throat. Ragyo beats the heck out of Satsuki and sends her flying. The sky suddenly turns red and COVERS appear. Ragyo takes possession of Junketsu and puts it on.

Ragyo transforms and attacks Ryuko, pulling out her heart. And that beating heart is covered in Life Fibers! Oh snap! Ryuko is Ragyo’s supposedly dead daughter! That makes her Satsuki’s little sister, and this is too much to take in! I’m in shock again![/details]

Lots of Intense Eyes in “Kill La Kill” Episode 20 Hype Sketches (Spoiler Warning)

Speaking of Ep. 20…

They mentioned something similar to this in an earlier episode preview, and I couldn’t find the damn thing. It wasn’t on their YT page and I can’t get the videos to play on their homepage ( http://www.kill-la-kill.jp/story/ )

I really wish they would just put them up on their YT channel since I never could get the videos on their homepage to play, so I could at least watch them.

We just seem to be living in the wrong country.

But I do agree that it would be nice to see them on YT.
