Mahoromatic: Automatic Maiden/Something More Beautiful/I'm Home

 Didn’t you see “He is My Master” Red? Of course things are different over there!

his dad like built Mahoro if I remember right, or he died protecting her, either way she feels indebted to his dad to be like a surrogate mother to Suguru, which is one reason she wasn’t afraid to be so familiar with him in the bath - and you’ll note he got that sense of being with his mother, again, as a result of it.

Also, I mentioned this before when it ran online - I hated the end of this series. I’d suggest planning to watch the last 2 or 3 episodes in one sitting, and keep a box of kleenex handy.

…or did it run on VOD then too? I forget… I know I saw the summer special and I don’t have it on the shelf (it should be called the fanservice special). I suppose I should scan back up the thread…

Mahoromatic Automatic Maiden last ran on VOD (for TWC) from November 6, 2008 through February 5, 2009.

Mahoromatic Something More Beautiful ran from April 9, 2009 through August 27, 2009.

Mahoromatic Summer Special ran on October 22, 2009.

(I know, I know, I have no life.)

By box of kleenex’s you mean something that you don’t care enough about for when you break it after you punch/kick/throw it out a window, correct?

Well, it will be so wet from tears by then it will have become a spitball of epic proportion, but…

I’m not overly fond of the ending of this one either. The beginning is really good and the middle is too.

But that end really knocks you for a loop! It really turns dark towards the end too which was surprising for the way it starts out - all lighthearted and funny.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SENTAI FILMWORKS LICENSES “MAHOROMATIC: I’M HOME”

HOUSTON, April 4, 2012— Sentai Filmworks is happy to announce that it has licensed MAHOROMATIC: I’M HOME! Featuring a screenplay by Tatsuhiko Urata (A-Channel, Aria the Natural) and character designs by Kazuhiro Takamura (He is My Master, Strike Witches), these two special episodes are the perfect morsel for those wanting just a little bit more of the unforgettable Mahoro.

As Mahoro’s life timer rapidly approaches her 250th day, a more joyous chronological observance occurs to distract her: the 120th anniversary of the founding of the town of Hiryushi. And as part of the celebration, Suguru, Miyuki, Hamaji and several other friends have come up with the perfect tribute: a Maid Café! Unfortunately, their Maid Café may end up completely Maid-Less, as Mahoro and Minawa are attacked by Management forces under the command of Feldrance! Prepare to return to the world of the hit series once more in this very special side story– MAHOROMATIC - I’M HOME!

MAHOROMATIC – I’M HOME! will be available soon through multiple digital outlets, with a home video release on DVD this summer, featuring an English dub by Bang Zoom Entertainment.

I am pleased.

Sure forcing Gainax to make a sequel would be cooler, but I’m game, I actually liked the dub of this show too.

Good show, hated the way it ended. Mostly because they wrote such a miserable ending then sort of tacked a slightly happier ending onto it, I guess so fans wouldn’t all go out and jump off a bridge afterwards.

A sequel picking up from there might be okay, though.

Now, will Bang Zoom be able to dub this with the same VA’s? At least for the major characters.

I believe for the most part all of the English VA’s are still working for or around Bang Zoom.

Mahoromatic was one of those shows that I never expected to like, but ended up really enjoying. I even loved the bitter sweet ending. I will definitely be picking this up.

I also give Sentai major props for once again partnering with Bang Zoom for dub continuity. It is a little sad that Sentai has pretty much become their biggest, if not only, client in anime.

They’ve only done 2 so far, but AoA is also on this list.

I did forget about Aniplex, though I haven’t watched any of their dubbed releases yet.

am i the only one that liked the way it ended? both ending were good, as they told the whole story. the ending-ending had me worried and confused at first, but appeared to be a good epilogue, and then… “dirty thoughts are bad!” and it made sense that mahoro could return as that was a premise that it is possible, as all thigns, when the others left.

Don’t you mean 4:
Rozen Maiden Overture
K-on!! (season 2)
Fate movie
Mahoro: I’m Home

Since they’re announcing the license now, that means that it will be up for pre-order soon, perhaps for July’s slate of stuf.
Will add to the tv series.

I was referring to AoA.
Which did Durarara!! and Puella Magi Madoka Magica at BZ.

Cool, look forward to getting it.

Nope, as my thread stated, I also enjoyed the ending. It’s good to know I am not the only one.
