Pretty sure they are from is modern day Japan. At least one is.
I did enjoy seeing more of Yogiri’s back story and why he is so attached to his teacher, but the main mystery remains. Who or what is he?

The way episode 8 opened is the reason I’m questioning things.
The episode starts off with one of the students we saw getting killed waking up because they happened to be an android! To recover the damage they got, they eat the dragon that killed them! The fact they’re in a world where you have what is basically a robot acting like a high school student and no one notices it. Then the fact that robots are advanced enough to take care of a little boy (in the flashback)
My Instant Death Ability is Overpowered, Ep 9 (Sub), is live at HIDIVE
I agree and i hope we get more back story to explain things.

This show was an absolute slog to get through. You can have characters with the literal ability to kill anything they want, and still be interesting, but somehow, a character with two minutes of screentime had more of an impact on me!!!
A waste of 6 hours of my life watching this show!
How to do an isekai wrong!!!
Practically every single character introduced was eventually killed off, most on the episode they’re introduced in!
Like, why not have an entire cast of 100 redshirts???
@Psychopuppet can give part of it a better description than I…
And to you, Pup… Yeah… I watched it so you don’t have to…
All’s I can say is Tomochika’s fanservice scenes, Erika’s character design (cause she’s practically a clone of Himegami), and Chelsey’s two minutes of screentime were the best things about this show…
Yami: “Please note. Our opinions. If you enjoyed the show, we’re glad you did!”
Not sure what to say about this one. I got lost in the middle. Then I got more lost after that. By the end, I don’t even know what I watched. The story was kind of all over the place and they kept tossing in too many characters, most of whom died.
I guess I just didn’t get it. Maybe if there was more explanation. I don’t know.

Please…
Please…
Maybe this new English dub will show us the true brilliance of this show?
A show that must have gotten the views for such dub to be considered?
Maybe…
It could be the masses liked this show for some reason, even though the vocal people here didn’t.
Over that BGM, on my phone speaker, the only one I could pick out is Tomochika is Monica Rial…
and David Matranga as our MC.
DIE!!!
