Christine Marie Cabanos, Cassandra Lee, Sarah Williams lead English voice cast

Aniplex of America, the American arm of the Japanese production company Aniplex, announced at its New York Comic Con panel on Friday that it will release the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime on Blu-ray Disc as well as on DVD, starting February 14.

The first volume will be released on both Blu-ray Disc and DVD on February 14, 2012. The second volume will follow on April 10, and the third volume will ship on June 12. Preorders will start on the online retailer Right Stuf on October 17.

In addition to the regular DVD and Blu-ray Disc volumes, there will be a limited edition box with the DVD, Blu-ray Disc, and the original soundtrack. The box will bundle a 24-page booklet, a double-sided poster, a Kyubey sticker, collectible postcards, a trailer collection, and credit-less opening and ending animation footage.

Aniplex USA also announced the anime’s English voice cast:

* Christine Marie Cabanos as Madoka
* Cassandra Lee as Kyubey
* Sarah Williams as Sayaka

Update: The limited edition box sets will each have a suggested retail price of US$94.98, but the only announced retailer will sell them for US$74.98. The regular Blu-ray Disc editions will have the suggested price of US$49.98 but sell for US$39.98, while the regular DVD reditions will have the suggested price of US$39.98 but sell for US$29.98.

Sadly, I made a promise to myself, if they decided to get the OSTs for an LE release, I would pay the price, regardless of cost.

So I’m getting it the moment it pops up on TRSI.

Interestingly enough though, this will actually be my very first BD, which I can only play BDs on my computer at the moment.

But as I said earlier in this thread, I’d double dip for both a DVD/BD if a BD was released, so I’m kind of glad that the LE is a combo pack in this case, even though I generally despise combo packs.

Well those Soundtracks and the Comics the LE comes with is actually the cheapest way to get them so it is a bargain. My question is what is the box made of. If it’s paperbox like Oreimo I’m calling BS on Aniplex’s part.

So all three LE’s pre-ordered.

Least they are split over 5 months at every other month so it’s not like with Garden of Sinners and ROD where the charge hits you all at once.

Still find it a little funny I own Gatchaman , Maison Ikkoku , Card Captor Sakura , Ranma 1/2 , plus I was buying when a 26 episode set could cost $200.00 and this will be the most expensive series I’ve ever bought. :laugh:

Just have to budget these in next year. Least 2 comes in my Birthday month and 3 comes after so they can’t be paid for with Birthday money.
