Warner Brothers has done some really annoying things in the past as far as releases for me goes, but this takes the cake.
I really enjoyed this one as it had some rather good character developement for this type of series.
I was really hoping to add this one to my collection too.
I had watched several episodes online and was looking forward to having Ro-Kyu-Bu on physical media, so this isn’t what I had expected.
If Warner is part of the production committee then I suppose it could be that they were nervous about being associated with the title, and it’s mildly risque content, once it was released in hard copy form.
Warning, big blathery soap box speech ahead.
The U.S.A.'s free speech rights have been traditionally interpreted to be based on a Community level when it comes to controversial subjects, i.e. pornography. What was acceptable in New York City might not be seen as such in Binghamton, let alone cities or neighborhoods in other parts of the US.
What I think is happening here is the very definiton of a “Community” is evolving under influence of the Internet / Modern Society. I suspect that the eventual outcome of this will be a re-evaluation of what is permissible under the US’s free speech guarantee and likely it will be reread to permit a much wider variety of protected speech.
In the end if Sentai gets their money back then it’s all good for them. Fan’s might be disappointed ,but as I stated from the start I still think this show might not have sold very well and Sentai been out of money . Least this way they get most of what they have in it back.
Interestingly, what is most likely a bootleg box set including the OST CD can be had from the usual sources. Quality unknown. But I see where out of four posted to sell two have sold.
Ro-Kyu-Bu’s 2nd PSP Game to Bundle Original Anime DVD

Ro-Kyu-Bu! Himitsu no Otoshimono “loli sports stealth adventure game” next spring
Ro-Kyu-Bu! light novel author Sagu Aoyama confirmed on Sunday that the new Ro-Kyu-Bu! game will bundle an original anime DVD. The announcement was first made in Sunday’s Aki no Saiten 2012 event from ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint.
ASCII Media Works revealed the second Ro-Kyu-Bu! PSP game through shopping bags that were distributed at the 82nd Comic Market this past summer. The “loli sports stealth adventure game” Ro-Kyu-Bu! Himitsu no Otoshimono is slated for next spring.
Aoyama’s comedy novel series follows a high school student who finds himself coaching a basketball team of elementary school girls. It inspired a television anime adaptation in 2011, as well as a PSP role-playing game/adventure game where players could choose whether to focus on a “loli gauge” or a “sports gauge” when training their team.
While Sentai Filmworks had announced last year that it had acquired the license to release the anime series in North America, it relinquished the rights to do so this past June. The series streamed on The Anime Network as it aired in Japan.
