Generally not when theyâre that low. Though Justin Sevakis did mention (donât remember if it was an Answerman article, or one of the industry articles) awhile ago, that most series do eventually break even a few years down the line.
Also, in this case, the usual bump in LN sales hasnât been anywhere near as good for this series as it usually is for adaptions.

Iâd like to think myself as a âfair kind of guyâ, someone who gives âsecond chancesââŚhur, hur, hurâŚ
Now that the whole showâs out, I can binge and see if itâs worth my dead prezez.
Maybe after Rick & Morty tonightâŚ
Show is definitely better with all eps on hand. Maybe by now Crunchy has gone back and standardized the names in the subs too lol.
I wonder what PC will base dubbing off of. Iâd like to think that they wonât base it off of the Japanese disc sales lol.
One would assume, since this is an R1 release, it would be based on streaming performance along with how much buzz it generated during itâs run.
Which isnât good news for me as I was a johnny-come-lately to the series who didnât get involved with generating the hype lol.
ANN says it finished in 10th place according to their very cluttered chart so maybe thatâs good enough. Though TBH part of me wants PC to give me an excuse to not support as Iâm torn between wanting to support the series but really not wanting to support PonyCanyonâs US venture.
Those charts are really something, I get a brain-hurt every time I look at them.
Should We Care About Rokkaâs Traitor? - IGN Anime Club
I dunno about the criticism of the show in that video as it wasnât really âhere are 7 people you donât know, one of them is a liar, but why do I care?â but rather âhere are 7 people, one is a liar, but the one person that you the viewer know isnât the liar is being framed as the liarâ.

Sorry PonyCan, $18 / episode doesnât cut it, when Aniplex is averaging between $10-15 depending on the title, and offers as good or better extras than you do.
So no dub after all? Well, that sucks, but I wasnât holding my breath expecting PonyCan to do the US fans a solid. Would have been nice if theyâd exceeded expectation though.
Is this another one of those awkwardly large boxes?
Iâd much rather have a dub than some artificially scarce sketches. I guess Iâm not PonyCan USAâs target audience then lol.
Yeah, theyâre still using the DODEKA cases for their Collectorâs sets.
However, a nice thing that theyâre doing with Rokka is, theyâre actually issuing RE BD & DVD sets as well (though theyâre still way too expensive for my tastes).

1st of 3-volume release ships on DVD, BD with available collectorâs edition on December 10
As I said in the two days later ANN thread, Itâs a nice effort but it only gets the âOrson Wellesâ Slow Applauseâ award.
They still arenât participating in the North American market.

that clap could be a little slower. maybe something like this
either way, iâll watch it on CR before I decide to buy, but going from the first two epsâŚprobably not.
I hate to say it, as it was the best show of Summer 2015 IMO (though I didnât see 'em all), but Iâm thinking itâs probably best not to buy it. I suppose the only conclusion I can make is that Iâm just never going to be a PonyCan customer as they actually have a product that I want to buy and theyâve made me not want to buy it
BTW, whatâs the second pic of?
(Come to think, the only reason Iâve actually seen Orson Welles is because of that meme. Iâm not sure Iâve heard him in anything besides Magnum, PI reruns either lol. )
Actually, for me, the best show was Gatchaman Crowds: Insight
Rokka broke the unwritten rule of bad writing at the end there.
Wouldnât breaking the unwritten rule of bad writing mean that it was good? I know thatâs not what youâre getting at but I had a total âturn up the ACâ moment when reading that.
What is the unwritten rule anyhow?
