Seems that this thread needs a new title.
Has this ever resulted in a good show? It sounds to me like the basic formula used for every piece of filler in a shounen series ever.
I fear for the art used in this. I don’t want to see loli-looking moeblobs running around. After the horrible, “burn every copy as though it were that porn flick Jackie Chan was in” bastardized art used in Ghost in the Shell: Arise I realize that nothing is safe from the moe mutilation.

So someone ought to +1 the title of this thread
Since this has been delayed a full year already, and sounds to be a “Sailor Moon: Kai” or “Sailor Moon:Sisterhood” I can’t help but feel that Funimation has already moved to acquire this
I’m kinda disappointed to hear that this will be a remake in the vein of FMA->FMA:Brotherhood. I think that I’m feeling the same disappointment that I felt when Hollywood rebooted Spiderman and is now re-rebooting Batman.

Remakes can be good / great (Yamato: 2199). Since the original Anime seriously deviated from the manga anyway, and unlike Fate / Stay Night the first series came out 20 years ago so a new interpretation could be a good thing.
The only thing that I think is off, is they haven’t announced the voice cast yet. I’d think if some or all of the original Seiyu’s were coming back for the new series, that would have been the first thing announced. Also it’s better to delay it, (especially if it’s going to be 26+ episodes) so you don’t run into production problems that plagued Attack on Titan.
Considering how lengthy the original series was I hope that this is going to be more than 26 episodes.
I don’t know if I really want there to be a remake as there are a lot of modern tropes/techniques in anime that I think that I’d have trouble accepting in the SM franchise if they were to appear, like CG animation. The old-school hand-drawn animation, crude though it was, is vintage. No CG tiara disc for me lol. Also, I’ve got my fingers crossed that they don’t change the artstyle to a more modern one as I’d rather not see the Sailor Senshi drawn like the cast of Girls und Panzer. Maybe that’s just me. It probably is.

Am I reading this right? The show is still recruiting a character designer and composer despite being only, essentially, 4 months away?
As the title of this thread humorously reminds us, this show was supposed to be out last year and they’re still rounding up key staff for it now. If this doesn’t debut in July I won’t be surprised but if it does I will be concerned (rush job).

No one is more irritated than I am that these older articles are at the end of this thread.
They should go into the thread IN ORDER by date, but that doesn’t seem to happen.
I’ve merged the older thread and this one as an example of how the merging doesn’t work correctly.
