Wow, I’d forgotten how weaksauce the original Moonlight Densetsu was as I remember the AniMetal Japanese version and, of course, the vastly superior DiC version that we saw on US TV.
Yeah, Charlene Ingram wasn’t kidding about her voice. 
I’ve seen the US TV version of the show as well as the entire show in Japanese and I preferred the former over the latter. Hopefully there’ll be a way to legally preview the dub that Viz has commissioned prior to the LE BDs selling out.
It was so mind blowing friday night coming home from godzilla to find this out. That capped off a great night. Then godzilla and sailor moon trending on twitter at the same time? Geekgasm to the max. Been long time coming and honestly thought I never see the day when the show gets rescued. I thought be like a long joke like Half Life 3. I’m sort of glad I wasn’t around when it was announced because I might not believed it at first. I will be watching on hulu and getting the blu rays.
Hopefully they don’t hit above the $100.00 a season mark and they spread the seasons out a few months apart if they do .

I feel like I’m the only one that missed out on the Sailor Moon craze many years ago.
Up to this point, I still haven’t seen this series.
No, you’re not the only one. I haven’t seen it either, but I have it on my watch list now. 
I was going to say “Yay! Someone to share my ignorance with!”
But once you start watching it, that comment becomes moot.
Well, I haven’t started yet, and probably won’t for a while, so we can still be ignorant together.

Whenever I think of watching this, all I can think of is Wedding Peach. :lol:
I just can’t bring myself to watch it, knowing that there’s 200 episodes plus movies & specials.
That’s just too much time to invest for me if it isn’t on TV and a channel I’m already watching.
This is also why I am a little hesitant.
It’s kinda like Bleach for me.
The only reason I’m actually watching it is because it’s on Toonami, and I really only half watch it when it’s on, since it’s not really my type of show.
I know what you mean. Bleach was brutal for me. I kept taking “breaks” from it, but finally got through all 366 episodes. Fillers and all! LOL
I also have to restart One Piece at some point, since I’ve forgotten what I had seen on TV years ago, and I’d like to see Fairy Tale at some point too. Again, the number of episodes is a bit of a turn off for me. I’ve gotten too used to short shows that I can finish in a day or two.
I’m not going to even bother with One Piece and its 650+ ongoing episodes.
That would be hell!
The 2 longest shows I’ve finished are Space Battleship Yamato @ 75 episodes (Seasons 1-3) and Kimagure Orange Road @ 48 episodes and 2 movies.
This will be my 1st 100+ episode series. It helps that they are only releasing 2 episodes a week.
Correction: I have seen all 100 Eps. and Movie and Mini Specials of You’re Under Arrest…
I haven’t seen Sailor Moon either, and at this point I’m not going to attempt watching it.
I’ve got too much on my plate right now.
So, I’ll remain a Sailor Moon virgin. :whistle:
