Ushio & Tora Complete Collection
Ushio always ignored his father’s crazy tales about the temple where they live. All that talk of restless souls and vicious monsters are nothing more than stories, right? However, Ushio quickly rethinks his position when he discovers a locked basement with an actual demon pinned to the wall by a spear! The tiger-striped demon threatens to eat Ushio if he doesn’t free him, so Ushio naturally chooses to ignore him. However, when the demon’s presence starts to attract others, Ushio is forced to remove the spear to save himself. To make a bad situation even worse, freeing the demon, Tora, also bonds Ushio to the cursed Beast Spear, sending him on a journey where unspeakable dangers await. The battle is only beginning for these unlikely partners in the all-new USHIO & TORA!
Rating: TV-MA (V)
As a veteran of numerous tornadoes in Oklahoma and now hurricanes in Florida, things can be replaced. It’s painful but entirely doable. People can’t be, so that is what is important in all this.
To the Sentai crew in Houston please stay safe, don’t get in a hurry about things. Steer clear of the Gators & Snakes, OK.

6 ANIME LOVE TRIANGLES THAT GAVE US ANXIETY

There’s something about anime love triangles that makes our heart ache with a rather satisfying pain. These triangles not only feed the dramatic spirit, but also remind us to communicate our feelings. Some of these pairs make us cry, bump our heads against the wall, punch a doll, kick a poor box, or just stare at your coworker who, clearly, isn’t supporting your ship. Either way, we can all appreciate these stress-inducing loves.
Yuzu x Nino x Momo (Anonymous Noise)
We all have our preferences, but this shoujo anime will have you gripping your heart as this teenage angst takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride. Whether you’re #TeamMomo or #TeamYuzu, we can all agree that we just wanted someone to be HONEST with their feelings! It isn’t that hard to say “I like you…” Okay, maybe it is, but we think they could have benefited from some communication. Our favorite scene was when all three characters met for the first time, only to realize the “other guy” was “HIM” all along!
Ririna x Neji x Misaki (LOVE and LIES)
To be fair, Neji confessed his feelings to Misaki. The only thing that went sideways was that the government was like “NOPE! Ririna is best suited to be as your wife.” What do you do when the government tells you that you’re more compatible with someone else? If you’re Neji, the answer seems to be, try to make everyone happy, even if it means hurting yourself in the process. There might be a third option that hasn’t even popped up on his radar.
Taichi x Chihaya x Arata (Chihayafuru)
A series where the romance is a bit understated, but boy, do we see the tension between these three. Chihaya has a thing for Arata, but Taichi has feelings for her. Meanwhile, Arata doesn’t know how he feels towards Chihaya, but Taichi sees him as a rival for her affections. This is what we call a nail-biting romance because both of these guys care about her in their own way.
Asako x Ushio x Mayuko (Ushio & Tora)
Mayuko is the bubbly counterpart to tsun-tsun tough girl Asako, but they’re good friends who happen to (secretly) have a crush on the same boy: their mutual childhood friend Ushio! Ushio and Asako’s unspoken (and sometimes vehemently denied) affections are apparent from the get-go. It’s painful to watch Mayuko step aside out of a deep love for both her friends. Fortunately, there may be an orange-haired knight in shining armor for her somewhere in this series!
Natsuhiko x Mikoto x Sakuya (Norn9)
Childhood friends and weapon dealers don’t always mix especially when they’re both potential love interests. In this anime love triangle, things become dangerous when Mikoto is kidnapped and made to choose between two very different guys. With Sakuya fervent in protecting Mikoto, but unable to profess his feelings lest his vision come true, he must bear it silently. Natsuhiko, on the other hand, falls for her while watching her fight to protect her friends. The boy even takes a bullet for her!
Kyoya x Erika x Yuu (Wolf Girl and Black Prince)
If you weren’t feeling a little pang in your chest as Erika was on her date with Yuu, are you even human!? While Kyoya struggles with his issues, he is genuinely fond and loyal to Erika to the point where he is willing to set aside his pride and go after her. While Yuu never stood a chance, Erika took him seriously, and there was a moment where she thought: “Maybe, I can like this guy.”
Bonus: Jumonji x Sakura x Rinne (RIN-NE)
Sometimes the best love triangle is the one where the girl doesn’t even know she’s in one! We’re talking about Sakura Mamiya. One piece of advice from this hilarious triangle: please don’t be a Jumoji…

5 MAGICAL GIRLS WHO WERE JUST TRYING TO GET TO SCHOOL

Being an anime magical girl isn’t every girl’s dream. In fact, some girls will run away at the sight of any magical companion or you know… a girl tempting you with the impossible. Some of these girls were either enticed by pretty outfits or just went a long for the ride because… why not?
Matoi Sumeragi (Matoi the Sacred Slayer)
Matoi was just simply a girl who wanted to save her friend. Unfortunately, she ended up transforming into an exorcist girl with responsibilities to save the world. No big deal. If only she actually wanted the job… she spends the early episodes trying to come to terms with her new job description.
Cocona (FLIP FLAPPERS)
Middle school is already hard enough, but when you add a slightly unhinged red head and traveling to another dimension… well, talk about a headache. Cocona just wanted to have a normal life, but that’s completely disrupted when Papika (quite literally) comes crashing into her life. With the ability to travel to Pure Illusion and gather amorphous fragments, she eventually gains the ability to transform to Pure Blade.
Illyasviel von Einzbern (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya)
Technically, Illya didn’t get swindled into her fate (see what happened there? Hehe) on her way to school: her calling came in the bathtub. Illya had dreams of being a magical girl, but like all dreams, the reality is always a bit bittersweet. Especially since Ruby tricks her into accepting a contract and becoming a full-time superheroine for the Holy Grail war. Fun times.
Komugi Nakahara (Nurse Witch Komugi R)
Komugi does what any sensible girl would do if a magical creature told you to become a fighting superheroine… turn the other way with only a goodbye. What ultimately got Komugi to say yes to the magical creature? The outfit of course! If you’re risking your life to save people might as well as do it in style.
Natsuru Senou (Kämpfer)
Another occasion where if a stuffed animal talks it’s time to run. Natsuru gets ambushed and forced into being the Blue Kampfer, not only changing his appearance but also his gender! Being a magical girl has never been so jarring but at least he’s putting his powers to good use.
Responsibility is Hard
