Which seems odd as Count Dooku, created in haste after Ep 1, supposedly joined Palpatine out of anguish over Qui-Gonâs demise.
One thing the prequels did right was they explained (in boring detail) where the massive armies of the âopposingâ forces came from. In TFA, the First Order just somehow has a massive fleet and planet base, and it all seems newer than what the Empire had in Ep6. Who pays for it all?
Instead of building a massive army and fighting a war, why not just use the money to take over the government of the New Republic from within? Why buy soldiers when you can buy votes?
We know the people who get elected to the Galactic Senate are easily swayed, as they gave up their liberty because Jar Jar Binks asked them to. 
That couldâve been interesting, that Luke Skywalker (at least from the perspective of the new Jedi Order) would become a âSithâ.
And it would have hopefully excluded Luke Skywalker milking any space cows.

Just make a few tweaks to the existing fan edit for continuity (currently the cut puts trolling>continuity), upgrade it to use footage from the bluray, and presto, mission accompilshed.

Crylo Ren and Luke having a lightsaber fight? I dunno, that seems like it goes beyond a fan remaster/âHow It Should Have Endedâ and into âentirely new movie, with the same nameâ territory.

IMO, CBRâs first report was accurate, and their later report was about LucasFilmâs damage control.
Could Disney really unequivocally admit that theyâre putting films in the Star Wars franchise, the most successful film franchise, on ice? If they did that, I imagine stock would drop and corporate heads would roll.
But if they issue two conflicting reports, theyâve established doubtâŚand if it turns out to be true, they can tell the SEC (etc) that they werenât covering anything up

F.U.D. with a heavy emphasis on the the D. ( Doubt ). Theyâve done the nearly impossible and messed up with the Star Wars franchise. Eventually it will catch up with Disney.
