Tayutama ~ Kiss on My Deity

LOL, I am losing control of my spoiler gene…Tonight I am going to start watching this again and Il force myself to stop at 4…

EDIT:
ok I saw the first 4 last night

And I had to relive the terrible part

I absolutely HATED her being separated from him in that stuck up chick hell hole of a school, thank god it was only a small part of the whole anime.

Finished up ep. 5 earlier…

Definitely going to pick this one up.
Thinking about though, it kinda makes me sad that it only has 12 episodes, even though I haven’t finished it yet, I would enjoy more episodes of this, like 24-26 eps.

Ep. 5

Ameri has fallen to the green eye monster. It doesn’t help that Yuuri is clueless toward her feelings. Nue is sure protective of Kisaragi.

Episode 5 -

spoiler

Ameri really likes Yuri and is getting jealous of Mashiro. Sankuro advises her to let Yuri know how she feels, but she just never gets a chance – Mashiro is always in the way. Even Mashiro can see that Ameri has feelings for Yuri, but when she mentions it to him, Yuri seems surprised and says that they are just childhood friends.
*
It looks like the Tayutai are killing humans now for their “vital energy” but Nue tells Mashiro and Yuri that they are just too weak to fight the mightiest of the Tayutai. I like how Nue protected “her friend” Mifuyu and ran away with her. And what has Ouryu done to Ameri? What has she become? And it looks like Mashiro is a little girl again too.

Ep. 6

Poor Yumina having a Tayutai stuck on her head. Guess you should be careful to what you pray to. Also rough on Yuuri who not only has to attend two schools but one being an all girls school. At least he is getting into great shape.

Yes ShawnMerrow -

I guess you do have to be careful what you pray for!

Episode 6 -

spoiler

Hou has become very “attached” to Yumina! Yuri has to keep her from getting depressed so Hou won’t peck her. So, he has to be a girl again. That is a pretty handy gem to have! But as Yoko Izumi, he also has twice the classes and becomes exhausted very quickly. And the gem keeps losing power and turning him into a boy at the wrong times.
*
It was nice of Mifuyu to work out a class schedule for him and Nue to recharge the gem as well, but Yumina feels bad about putting everyone through so much trouble. She really can’t do anything about it until Hou gets better anyway. And when Yuri mentions family several times, Mashiro gets a strange look on her face. I wonder if she understands the concept of family or if it’s something else.
*
It looks like Ou is searching for her other half. Yuri and Yumina get attacked by birds in the woods and it looks like Yuri can’t hold out against them. Yumina begs Hou to save her brother. Hou grows to a larger form and the other birds bow before him. But it looks like Ou is on her way too. I can’t wait to see what happens!

Episode 10 -

spoiler

It seems that almost every one has been thinking of their future, but Yuri is still unsure of what he wants.
*
It’s nice that Mifuyu now believes in coexistence as well and wants to help achieve it. Yumina certainly freaked out when she was informed that she’d be taking Mifuyu’s place after Mifuyu graduates. I think Yumina is a perfect example of coexistence too – she still has those birds on her head!
*
Sankuro tells Yuri not to forget about Ameri and Yuri does go to visit her, taking Mashiro along, which was just the wrong thing to do. Yuri is really dense when it comes to Ameri’s feelings! But at least Mashiro knows how Ameri feels about Yuri, although he still insists that they are nothing more than childhood friends.
&
Ouryu is really doing a number on Ameri, messing with her mind that way. He’s feeding her jealously and ends up turning her again. No wonder Ameri has an attitude problem!

Episode 11 -

spoiler

They finally get to fight Ouryu! Even Hou, Ou, and Nue will help. Ouryu has Ameri’s soul and stops their first attack with his finger. But when they attack again, Ameri feels the pain and Ouryu gets stronger. Hou, Ou and Nue are defeated very easily, which is a little odd, considering they are supposed part of the three strongest Tayutai. Ouryu absorbs their divine energy and gets even stronger.
*
Ameri has created a world where Yuri is hers and there is no Mashiro. Mashiro visits her there and tries to convince her to leave. She apologizes to Ameri, but it only makes Ameri angrier and she tells Mashiro that she “stole” Yuri from her. They have it out and it looks as if Ameri is really angry because Yuri loves Mashiro. The girls make up and Hou, Ou and Nue are freed. Ameri and Mashiro leave as well, but Ouryu won’t let them go. Yuri can’t stand to see the girls being hurt and releases a great amount of energy. It looks like he’s found his power and I hope he’s strong enough now to defeat Ouryu.

A heads up there is footage after the credits for episode 12 and you will want to see it.

Saw it!!

Episode 12 -

spoiler

All that and Yuri isn’t allowed to fight Ouryu because it might start a war between the Tayutai and humans! Mashiro ends up taking care of things by herself and passes out again, having used up all her energy.

Yuri wants to give Mashiro a wedding ceremony, but she’s very weak. Their friends and the Tayutai show up to help them celebrate. Yuri’s vow was very beautiful and brought a tear to my eye, especially when Mashiro said she wanted to live with him as a human. The others leave and Ouryu interrupts, telling them that relationships between humans and Tayutai always end up like that and that is why neither can accept the other, but Ouryu also gives them hope. Yuri and Mashiro join hands and a golden light enfolds them.

It was very sad to hear that Mashiro went back to sleep, but it was sweet that Yuri promises to wait for her – and sweeter still when it looks as if Mashiro is watching over him. And after the end credits, it seems they are together again at some point far in the future. It made me all teary eyed again. A lovely ending to a very nice story.
