Ep. 8 - I laughed hard at the tail end of this, the third time Lala uses the magnetic tool to bring Rito back to her and he runs like the Roadrunner carrying the poor girl with him. Just when I think she was going to fall for him and be the latest one trying to break up the engagment.

The only thing I didnât quite get is why Ren in girl mode is fawing over Rito, too, I didnât think his mind changed when he did. Unless heâs trying to get Rito to be unfaithful to Lala or something. Guy aught to either always carry a change of clothes, or some pepper or something so he can make himself sneeze twice in a rowâŚ

Thatâs it, I went to the wrong High School. 
How many compromising situations can one person get into a day. Seems Run also has a crush on Rito. That magnet bringing him running no matter what was funny but sure caused him trouble. Looked like Yui was going to blow a gasket at the end.

Funny that Lala has another suitor â one in a rocket suit this time. Funny too that when the rocket suit breaks, he meets Ren of all people and heâs still trying to be âmanlyâ.

I wonder why Rito seems to be sensitive to Pikariâs presence. He seems to have an odd reaction whenever Pikari is near. I liked Lalaâs tennis racket â Mr. Zooming Service Ace - it worked really well!

When Zastin sends Pikari to the Universal Hospital, I knew the school nurse would be there â figures sheâs an alien too. But sheâs good with bandages and even notices that Lala has a tail, something that the humans donât seem to take any notice of or question.

Lala returns Pikari to the âLand of Pikariâ. And poor Zastin has his own dog problems! At least he didnât get peed on, although the dog seems very âattachedâ to Zastin. Poor guy!

I thought it really funny, but appropriate that Rito is wearing a UFO shirt. The TV show he was watching was funny too â âExplosive Heat Magical Girl Kyoukoâ. She had a nice theme song too.

That Stella is something else. She really doesnât like Rito at all for being engaged to Lala. Funny that she freezes when she gets surprised. I think that would be very inconvenient. And her hair seems to have a life of its own too!

It figures that she would pick Haruna to be her next star. Poor Haruna must think Rito is really a pervert at this point! But Iâm glad Stella didnât get her after all. I wonder what Rito will do now. I just donât how heâs going to explain his behavior to Haruna.

Lala and Zastin sure have a funny take on ârock, paper, scissorsâ.

Of course such a cute female assassin was sent after Rito. Nice name too â Golden Darkness. And she can change any part of her body into a weapon. When she and Zastin fight, itâs hysterical that he falls into a sewer and Golden Darkness says heâs been âflushed awayâ.

With her pursuit of Rito through the town, the whole neighborhood must know about aliens by now. It figures that Rito falls into a ladies bathhouse too! There are also more great inventions from Lala and I was surprised that one actually worked, until Golden Darkness broke out of it. The scene with the perverted principal was funny too.

So, it was another suitor that hired Golden Darkness to kill Rito, but he lied about Rito and I donât think Golden Darkness liked that very much. Funny that Lacospo takes matters into his own hands and brings out Gamatan, and his mucous just happens to dissolve clothes. Of course Rito ends up in another embarrassing situation when he tries to help Golden Darkness and she ends up sitting on his face!

It was nice of Lala to protect Golden Darkness from the mucous and lose her own clothes in the process. But Rito takes the next hit for Lala and loses his clothes too. He gets angry enough to hit Lacospo, but when Gamatan is about to crush him, Peke restores Lalaâs clothes just in time for her to attack and send both Lacospo and Gamatan flying.

I can only imagine what Golden Darkness thinks of all this! Apparently sheâs led a very lonely life and I like how she used her âjobâ as an excuse to stay on Earth. Although Rito looked upset, I think Lala saw through the excuse and offers her friendship.

Zastin finally got out of the sewer, but I see he still has his little dog friend!

I have watched the episodes on VOD. It looks entertaining(hee hee). Makes me think about one of the other animes I have seen. Canât remember the name of it, but one of the girls would say mone. I think I got right, jus freaking mone. (couldnât get accent over the e)

Iâm throughly enjoying this one as itâs rather funny as hell.
Itâs like a more ecchi version of a cross between Steel Angel Kurumi and UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie.
This is definitely going on my to buy list for the very near future.

This had to be one of the strangest and funniest school sports days Iâve ever seen!

Iâm sure the principal enjoyed watching the girls do his warm up exercises, even if they refused to finish them. The scavenger hunt had some really odd things to find. Ritoâs was the easiest by far but of course the most embarrassing. Especially when Lala decided to âhelpâ him and âMr. Push-Pushâ sends him right into Haruna. He has to get a girlâs gym shorts âfresh off the bumâ and he almost accidentally gets Harunaâs, but she slaps him into space. So, with everyone leaving the grounds, they are all disqualified.

Next is the obstacle course, but in this case, they are all obstacles to love. And Lala wins! For the group relay race, Ren is missing but shows up at the last minute with the legendary sword that he had to get for the scavenger hunt. He ends up running with the sword, but itâs too much and the sword puts a huge crack across the field and up the side of the school. Rito falls into the crack and Haruna tries to save him, but when he reaches for her, he grabs her breast instead of her hand and gets slapped again, falling down into the fissure. I noticed they tried to repair the school building and the field with giant band-aids. Pretty laughable!

Then comes the group cavalry battle and Saki turns field into a pool and suddenly everyone is wearing swimsuits. The principal enjoyed that. He and the other male students enjoy it even more when Saki produces a âswimsuit cutterâ that cuts off the girls suits. Ren sneezes and turns into a girl too and it gets a little dangerous when Saki releases more cutters. In fact it becomes total chaos! Haruna gets injured and falls unconscious and itâs Rito to the rescue! With Peke keeping Lala covered for a change, she wins when Saki gets her own suit cut off. But it isnât over yet â Saki produces a âpushballâ.

Haruna wakes up in the schoolâs infirmary and Rito is relieved. Surprisingly, when Haruna sits up in bed, she isnât topless and Rito gets his chance to apologize to her. But there is another accident and he ends up on top of her again. The âpushballâ - with Lala sitting on top of it - has hit the room theyâre in. Considering the amount of damage, Lala must have won this competition as well! This must have been a very fun day for everyone!

Rito sure has some interesting dreams! I wonder if Zastin likes Mikan. He got a little flustered when she picked a piece of rice off his face. Zastin warns Rito that Lalaâs father is coming and Rito seems torn between Lala and Haruna.

When he finally meets his future father-in-law, Gid is disguised as a beautiful woman and I think Gid is a little disappointed that Rito is such a gentleman and doesnât take advantage of the girls that are throwing themselves at him. He calls him pathetic and wishy-washy. He asks Rito if heâs in love with Lala and Rito really canât answer him, so Gid declares that Rito is not good enough for his daughter and that he will destroy the Earth and Rito.

Rito is determined to protect his friends and Haruna and will not let Gid destroy the Earth. Just as Rito is about to get disintegrated, Lala saves him and Gid gives into her feelings for Rito. He decides to give Rito a chance to prove himself worthy of Lalaâs love and tells Rito to become the greatest man in the universe or he will destroy Earth. Talk about pressure! But Rito canât worry about it. He isnât sure he can be the greatest man in the universe, but he will become someone to be proud of. Rito hopes to find the answer in his heart and Zastin promises to help him. I think Zastin has really come to care for Rito. Lala, of course, thinks that Rito is just wonderful!

Rito wants to change himself and starts a training regimen. Haruna thinks itâs âadmirableâ and wants to help him, so she meets him everyday and does whatever she can to help. Rito is just very happy that he gets to spend so much time alone with her. But he still seems torn between Haruna and Lala.

After getting soaked from rescuing her dog, Haruna takes him back to her apartment to dry off. She draws him a bath while she takes care of his clothes and Rito gets all excited about being in her bathroom. Later heâs in her room, wearing only a towel until his clothes are ready and they reminisce over their middle school days. Then another accident happens that ends in another embarrassing position and they almost kiss, but Harunaâs sister comes home and catches them. Ritoâs towel falls off at just the right moment and he runs away. At home later, he falls into a depression. Poor guy! So close and yet so far!
