I wonder if there is any chance for a dubbed Blu-ray for Toradora? I don’t care much to buy Sub-only animes, With the 100s of dubbed animes I do own on dvd/blu-ray the chances of me rewatching a sub-only is very slim. With Toradora now on Hulu, & Crunchyroll if I ever do want to see it again well now I can.
The only reason I am only talking about Toradora is because after Toradora got licensed and I saw what it was about I stopped looking into animes I know are going sub-only, so I don’t miss what I don’t know about.
I am sure people would buy Toradora again if it got a blu-ray release, and I think NIS AMERICA should at least try it once to dub a hot selling animes!
I know that this dub will be rather weak (this is something that should be done by TX veterans) but I still want to buy it just to advance the cause of nisa dubbing its releases. That said, this does not seem like my kind of show at all. The dude is a wuss, the girl is “tsundelicious” and the art makes it look like a bona fide adult is hanging with an elementary schooler.
I wonder how it looks as an upscale, since it isn’t “native HD” (though if funi were releasing this their box would say that it is native HD…).
If I do get this, I’m concerned about it fitting on my shelving. The scuttlebutt online is that it is DVD height, but those sources swore that the Attack on Titan LE would come with an art box for part 1 and see all know how bogus that turned out to be.
Since it got a JP BD box at the end of 2011, I would assume it has a proper JP HD master.
And going by the screens floating around online, I’d say it looks relatively well.
Ah, the far-reaching consequences of union strikes. Good thing my group got its copies in the pre-4/30 batch.
I’d forgotten all about that protest. My theory is because it had C-list celebrities at it like that RATM guy and had thus been pushed out of my mind by the B-list Mark Ruffalo MC’ing the Detroit water protests
