I know Google missed the boat on buying Twitch but I don’t see their proposed gaming-focused subsite of YouTube catching on. Also, YouTube’s video support is pretty bad unless you’re using Google Chrome so I wonder if this new site will be similarly gimped for viewers who aren’t using Chrome.
60 FPS might be alright for streaming gaming from consoles, where 30 FPS is the new standard, but that’s too low for PC gaming as 120 and 144 FPS gaming displays are gaining in popularity and are all but essential for competitive FPS.
…it’s too bad that there isn’t a Star Trek series still on the air as this Lucy O’Brien has the neck of a Cardassian naturally.
Having seen an early cut of the Star Trek: Renegades pilot (Kickstarter backer), I can say it’s pretty decent and wouldn’t mind watching a few seasons of it.
Sadly the only modern Star Trek that I’ve seen featured an underclothed Vic Mignogna. I haven’t seen Renegades, not saying Vic’s version was the reason why lol, but I’ll have to look into it.
…nothing can be worse than Enterprise. Well, maybe, but it’d have its work cut out for it.

On the Steam Sale, I finally bought Lost Planet 2 as it was a cheap 4-player coop game and I thought Games for Windows Live! was dead. Turns out GFWL isn’t dead and I had to jump through hoops for literally 20 minutes, including remembering my old Xbox Live account info, in order to get into the game.
Having to go through 3rd-party DRM on top of Steam’s is brutal. Kinda reinforces my position to not get any UPlay games 
Why don’t video games let me save at any point any more? Why can I only have “autosaves” at “checkpoints”?
I can’t really invest time in a game if I can’t quit whenever “real life” calls me away.

Just a heads up that if you have a copy of KoTOR 2 on Steam, that Obsidian released a new patch for it. It includes a resolution update and they also worked with the Sith Lords Restoration project team and added the content that was restored by them.
Hopefully all of that will make it to the GOG version, if it isn’t there already. I have the Steam version too, but why play the DRM’d version when I can play the DRM-free one.
