I’ll be starting on this tonight, after I finish up Coyote Ragtime Show.
I haven’t seen this yet, so I don’t know much about it other than the good things PP has said about it, but the OP looks kinda cool.

Want to watch it with me dude? I just got the DVDs the other day, and been wanting to watch this. It looks like something I’d really enjoy. I got the epic artbox with volume 2, that’s really a spy case lol. Did you get that? Damn things nice. In fact I LOVE the artwork on the three singles too. The DVD’s all look amazing. ADV did a really good job with this one. I wonder how the dub is. Expecting something top grade ;).

Also Taku Iwasaki’s music for the win? I think so !

Yeah, I got the singles + artbox.

As for watching it with me, you can if you want, but I’m cramming, so I’ll probably finish it up tonight.

LoL Wow? All in one night? You are crazy man. Too fast for me. I may join yah though…not at your rate though lol.

Seems like a lot of cramming of a lot series lately. Ya still enjoying it that way? :stuck_out_tongue: I find a lot of series are better when you have time to ponder, think about what’s going on. When I have to rush through series, it becomes a shallower experience inherently.

I agree with Dragoon. I find I enjoy shows if I take my time with them. Rushing through a show does feel more shallow to me as well. When I’m eating filet mignon I savor each and every bite. Why scruff it down? You chug bitter medicine down fast, not great steak! (Just don’t take too long to eat the steak, else it will get cold  ).

Depends on the series.
These 12-13 ep. series are pretty easy to cram in one night, and they generally don’t require much thinking to enjoy them, especially if they’re dubbed. It’s pretty easy to follow along while doing other things.

Usually how I watch things that I own, I give it less attention the first time around, and if I enjoy it a lot, I give it my full attention the next time around.

So what did you think of CR, should I spend my time going through it this/next week? I liked the first ep a lot but ep 2 and 3 kinda meandered a little. (Answer in the CR thread though. :D) Thanks.

CR= Coyote Ragtime Show? Then you tell him to answer in that thread? Oh you confuse me Dragoon. lol.

Yes, especially since he never posted his thoughts on it while he watched it/finished it. Answering the question here would go OT.

Shouldn’t it be CRS?

Dragoon, your missing my point lol. Why not just bump the CRS thread and ask the question there LOL. Ah doesn’t matter. Just you enjoy confusing me I guess lol.

I’m keeping you on your toes. :stuck_out_tongue:

Alright, this is the weirdest feeling.

I know for a fact, I have not seen this before, but I have this serious feeling of deja vu.
Certian parts of this seem so familiar, like I’ve watched it before and know what’s going to happen, yet I know I haven’t seen it.

This is bugging the hell out of me.

Perhaps your thinking of Wiki link: Cyborg 009? It’s another show with a retro style, and it aired on Cartoon Network (although I never saw it, my friend did). They both deal with similar themes, have a similar style, and same type of character designs, because both shows were based off of a manga by Ishinomori.

Nah, it wouldn’t be that.
I didn’t start watching CN/AS until April of 2008, before that, I avoided it like the plague.

It’s not another show though, as the feeling actually revolves around this specific series, so it couldn’t be something else.

I finally got to subscribe to TAN in Jan/Feb of 2008, but I wonder if a couple of episodes were on at the time when I first began.
I don’t remember them being on availible at the time, but it’s always possible.

I have all my TAN schedules from Sept 2007 on, I know that we got a couple of eps as a taste-test, but I’m just not finding it…

Maybe when the brains of the outfit gets here, he can remember.

I’m here. :stuck_out_tongue:

009 premiered around summer of 07, so it’s possible a few episodes were on SVOD on repeat when Coffee first subscribed. The data to the SVOD schedules are long gone now though. Unless one of the SVODers printed it or saved it.

If it helps I’m like almost postive this was never on the free TAN VOD. If it did air on TAN, it had to be the SVOD thing. I watched almost everything that TAN VOD had on around this time.
