Yes, and I also saw it as #8 in your report. But I’m pretty sure it was initially "Girls und Panzer 7’ (or “Girls Und Panzer 07” to be more accurate) just after midnight on the 16th–that’s how I have it in my notes, anyway. To avoid confusion, I’ll use the boldface for the numbers as given in AN’s Watch Online list of episodes for Girls und Panzer, and the quotes for their “names” as listed on the system. (Though I’m not sure AN’s numbering is technically correct for the episodes-in-themselves as given in the original series–see below.)
But when I looked at it today in the list on Cutting Edge/Girl Power, it’s not just that it was “Girls Und Panzer 08”, but it also had the blurb for #9, talking about “Pravda”. Then, when I started it, it is Girls und Panzer #8 according to the list as given AN’s Watch Shows list–but when I look in my In Progress list, it is there as “Girls Und Panzer 07”, with the blurb from Girls Und Panzer #8. And then when you go back to the Girl Power list, it’s still “Girls Und Panzer 08”, but now with the correct blurb for #8. This is strong indication that I really did see it as “Girls Und Panzer 07” initially, and in any event shows there’s a mismatch between the episode’s internal and external numbering–just as occurred in the Nobunaga/etc./etc. mess. You could check to see if it’s working this way on your Cutting Edge as well.
I’m also pretty sure that the first time I watched this series on Cutting Edge, way, way back when, AN just ignored the fact the there was a #5.5 and a #11.5 in the original series (see Wikipedia), skipped those recap episodes, and shipped us just the whole-numbered ones (as listed on Wikipedia, not that that’s where they got the numbers from). However, the recap episodes were available to us online, but instead of “6.5” and “11.5”, AN just numbered them with whole numbers, “6” and “12”. So there was one numbering on Cutting Edge, and another online. You could even argue I was seeing the “correct” numbering, since it matched the numbering as given in the original series (Alas, today I looked back at the 2015 thread, and I was in my lazy “as per Slowhand” period, so I wasn’t bothering to list all the episodes and their numbers, which would have given us another datapoint. But nobody else on TWC besides you was, either) This time through, they’re shipping the series to us numbered as it is on AN’s Watch Online list…which may causing some system confusion–e.g., the way the blurb and number for Girls und Panzer #6 is attached to #7 on the On Demand Portal side,
I hope this is tolerably clear…I’ll see if I can steal some more time later.
