I finally caught this one on Hulu and thought it was really good. 2 characters I didn’t want to die, did, and I also thought there could have been an ultimate twist ending for this show.
Show has the same ending where Mei and Kouichi are walking along the river, and Mei gives the line about him wanting to remember the whole thing , (Camera zooms in on Kouichi’s hand in his pocket) Kouichi says “Ya I wouldn’t want to have to kill her a Third time.” (Knife comes out of Pocket fade to black)
So, it looks like the shadow censoring in Ep. 11 is a source mistake, as it’s also present in the JP BDs.
That said, I’m kind of sad that the dub error made it to BD.
I finally got around to watching this one the whole way through. I’m on episode 11 at the moment. I’m really enjoying it and looking forward to the end. I can definitely see why this is often referred to as the “Final Destination of anime.”
Also, it’s good to see the dub is pretty top notch. Greg Ayres and Monica Rial are perfect in the leads. It’s a shame about the problem in episode 12 though.

I really do need to watch this again.
Never have actually watched the Subbed version of it…
I still think they should have ended it like this:
When Mei & Koichi were walking along the river at the end, The camera should have did a close up on Koichi and he says something along the lines of “Not every day you get to kill someone twice” ~Fade to black~
Glad this anime is still around. A great one to re-watch for Halloween too. I really love the mystery in this one and enjoy putting all the pieces together, even if they don’t always fit!

I just watched episode 11 subbed on Crunchyroll…
For anyone curious, that’s the episode where Yami’s character gets killed…
I watched it dubbed and uncensored, and honestly wasn’t affected by it, cause I had trained my brain that it was a murder mystery show…
Watching it subbed, with the knowledge that she was going to die, and it being censored, I thought I would be okay…
I’m cleaning up the vomit off the floor right now…
