No one enjoyed season 1. The dub of Season 1 though was entertaining, though it was like putting so much mustard on something that it only tastes like mustard.

1st project is novel adaptation of manga, with 2nd, 3rd projects scheduled to be unveiled this winter
Japanese publisher Media Factory began streaming a promotional video for the upcoming projects for Chūgaku Akamatsu’s Hidan no Aria (Aria the Scarlet Ammo) light novel series.
The video starts by giving a history of the series, from the start of its publication up until the 2011 TV anime adaptation and the announcement of new Hidan no Aria projects earlier this year. The video announces that the first new project for the series will be a novel adaptation of the Hidan no Aria AA (Aria the Scarlet Ammo Double) manga written Chūgaku Akamatsu and featuring illustrations by Kobuichi. The video also teases that the second and third parts in the AA Project will be announced this winter.
Akamatsu’s original novels were adapted into an anime in 2011. Funimation licensed the series for simulcasting and home video release.

Ahead of a December 18th Aria the Scarlet Ammo special web radio broadcast, an early look at the next issue of Young Gangan has revealed that spin-off/follow-up Aria AA is slated to be adapted into anime.
The series follows special forces schoolgirl Aria Holmes Kanzaki and her E-ranked would-be protege.
Assuming that Funi goes for this one, it is a perfect candidate for their Broadcast Dub initiative as the dub is necessary. The show was kinda fun dubbed, I thought, but it was a non-starter subbed.
That’s assuming it’s a TV series and not an OVA.

I think I’ll have to walk back my original comment as I was hoping that this show was featuring the new “would-be protege” in addition to the cast from the first season but skimming the internet has crushed that hope as it seems that this one is likely to be dudeless.
IMO, the dude was the best part of the first one as he was the show’s humor and, at least in the dub, his character made Aria into a more interesting character than she would have been otherwise. I don’t have confidence in that happening if he isn’t a main character.
