After watching the last episode of the season, so many things make sense now. There were many surprises and some mysteries were solved, while others were created. The last episode was especially touching at the end and Eren’s words were so poignant -

“… On the other side of the sea… is freedom. That’s what I always believed. But I was wrong. On the other side of the sea… are enemies. Every part of this is exactly how I saw it in my dad’s memories. Hey… If we kill our enemies… over there… will we finally… be free?”
Those words and then the pictures during the credits, really made an impact, along with the final scenes. I can’t wait for the next season, even if it is the final one!!

It sounds like the same thing that happened when they broadcast dot / Hack: The Legend of the Twilight, where they cut the post credit scene at the end of the last episode Which showed that Rena had survived
