And as a first-time poster, you have come to this conclusion how?
(And I see that you are probably just an alias for someone… that’s illegal, you know)
The amount of posts I’ve made is irrelevant. Internet aliases are illegal?
Having more than one alias here on TAN goes against the conditions of the site.
Hopefully everyone now knows this and will take the appropriate actions. You know who you are.
I really hate water now. Monday, we had the mother of all rain storms (that isn’t a result of a hurricane that is) I think I heard reports we set a record for rainfall.
Most interesting bit, the area where I hit a massive car stalling puddle. https://www.google.com/maps/@42.379083,-83.211233,3a,75y,287.72h,66.46t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sRgUoKy35436qdXlZq73CEA!2e0! That street view I believe shows the whole area where the puddle was. Go ahead and swing the camera around to see where there was no puddles what so ever! Some idiot behind me almost caused me to hit a construction barrel after the puddle was done because I used the curb to avoid my car from stalling.
As every Irish pub ever (lol) reminds us, “you can’t drink all day if you don’t start on the morning!”
As Charlie Sheen, as Charlie Harper, the great booze sage reminded us, the only cure for a hangover is to not stop drinking and beer AMD wine don’t count as drinking.
Sterling Mallory Archer can’t stop drinking as the collective hangover would probably kill him (his words). Maybe this guy was in the same boat.
Well, summer is officially coming to an end for me in the next two days. I have my last day of work tomorrow and move back into the dorms on Sunday. Kind of strange now that I think about it, considering I have no perception of time to tell me whether this summer went by quickly or slowly. ^-^;
Turns out I will be rooming with a freshman this year since I told them I did not care who I got (I had a choice of freshman or upperclassman). I wanted to room with someone different this year because I feel it is a good idea to expose myself to as many new kinds of people as I can, and since both freshmen and upperclassmen are mixed bags on their own, I might as well mix them all together; sounds like a good plan in my head, at least. Looking forward to being a little more outgoing, or rather open, with my anime fandom this time, considering I basically made my “power level” disappear all of last year (save for the very end with my roommate). Should be interesting. :3
Though I am kind of still sad that my old roommate and I were not able to finish Cowboy Bebop before the year was over.
Hopefully by this time next year I will be on my way to, or already moved into, a Japanese university. Going to try for an exchange program for my junior year (except money might become a slight problem ). I do not think I will have many problems once I am over there, though. Cue everything going wrong. :silly:
Anyway, I guess that is enough for the Tager diary this time. Hope you enjoyed.
I am so tired of hearing the word “anyways” - the word is “anyway”!
Even TV shows are using it incorrectly now! I’ve heard it used in dialogue in three different shows. When did this become common practice?
Of course, I looked it up and now it’s been added as alternate form of ‘anyway’… good grief.
In the last few years, we’ve had weird pronunciation of “student”, “important” and “didn’t” (along with other contractions), and now this, I might just change to subtitles and closed-captioning.
then you would just have to read the gibberish bastardization of the English language same as when you watch TAN VOD.
Laziness is what I call it, same as when they started incorporating Ebonics into the language in the late 90s. Surprised “aks” isn’t an alternate form of “ask” in the dictionary already…
Last time someone said they wanted to “aks me a question” I told them I would machete them an answer. They just walked off for some reason, maybe because I was sharpening a machete at the time? anyway…
If it a word is used in mass society correct grammar or not it will become correct . On that basis . It’s a sad thing ,but that is "AMERICA " . Sit back grab some popcorn and watch the primates take over .
@PP: That is why people don’t want to learn English, because by the time you learned it, people have changed it already. But that only goes for American English, British English still doesn’t change that much. Welcome to 'Murica. [insert headdesk smilie here]
We’re not in the usage cap/metered area, but it happened here anyway; I think it just took down their entire system. Unless that was what you were saying. My brain’s a little fried this morning.
With TWCs DOCSIS3 upgrades and TW MAXX offerings still being done while they are int he middle of a merger, there is no telling what will be running. It isn’t unlikely that a tech someone did 1 thing wrong and DID take down the whole system because they do NOT know what they are doing across regions and don’t pay attention. They still treat the entire system as local pockets rather than a national system so some people have seniority they no longer require for a national company.
Say NY says things need to go down for A to happen at Z time, and TX region is doing something else and decide to wait, so the whole system in TX is offline until they resync with NY because TX was doing something other than what the head office said. Thus why the major system change to the Guide (now called Navigator) to TRY to align all channels in all areas across the nation so HBO is always on the same channel in NY, California, TX, etc.
They just haven’t got all that fixed yet and sorted out while adding those new features for TV, phone and internet.
Information is spread out everywhere about TWC problems because there is no one place allowed to share it all, it is being obfuscated because TWC like other companies really don’t want the consumer to know what is going on, and REALLY don’t want the consumers to be able to talk to each other to find the truth. 1 use helping another user is seen as a bad thing because it removes TWCs police state control over its users where it can hide in the shadows and claim doing no wrong.

But, as Mulder said: “The truth is out there.”
