We’re human and make mistakes even when we don’t mean to despite our good intentions, but when I observe different forums (not talking about TAN) I find it baffling that when people say things that annoy others on a repetitive basis (sounding like a broken record if you will), the one seeing the post has to respond to it EVERYTIME. Your mind wants to say to even veteran posters HEY ROOKIE! CAN’T YOU JUST IGNORE IT?!

It seems Funimation’s app doesn’t sync with the web site in terms of what you watch… actually, I think I might end remove their app as they don’t even support Chromecast.
Chromecast is still a thing? I’m not a big Google ecosystem fan lol.
It’s disappointing that Funi still hasn’t added that feature, syncing video progress with the web viewer, to their app.
I’m remembering why I had a falling out with streaming video apps: I was trying to watch Episode 2 of Seven Deadly Sins on Netflix and, shortly after the halfway mark, their app cut out and said it couldn’t reach the server. Yet I could watch everything else that I tried on Netflix, including episodes 1 and 3 of the same show.
Chromecast is still a thing. Basically, if you support HTML5 video, you can support Chromecast. (BTW, Anime Network videos can be on Chromecast as Chrome’s video player detects the video is a supported format)
Does anyone actually still really use Chromecast devices though? As I recall, Google had neglected the product line until just recently (finally offering, in too limited quantities, the ethernet adapter) and Amazon won’t sell 'em.
Is it still “chromecasting” if you use a device like a Roku?
…Still can’t watch episode 2 of Seven Deadly Sins on Netflix. Tried on PC, but Netflix is balking at PC playback. Doesn’t seem to like Waterfox.
They want consumers to buy THEIR products like the Fire TV Stick. Chromecast sounds less dirtier than playing around with some stick.
I honestly wonder how long before they stop selling Roku ? I noticed almost every time they put the fire stick on sale and when the new model came out all of the Roku models were out of stock from Amazon .
Nope, a device like Roku doesn’t count. The closest you’ll get to casting is if you use something like Apple’s AirPlay with their Apple TV.
BTW, Apple TV is another device Amazon won’t sell. If they’re not careful, Amazon might have an anti-trust suit against them if they keep doing this.

HOW BUGGY DID I MAKE THIS?
That was after I found and fixed a 3rd bug in one function.
So, for some random reason, I wonder if my spare tire had enough pressure in it. It didn’t, so I added some air into it. 9 months without checking (and who knows if it was every checked before I bought the car)
So old cable modem was on the EOL so it went bad today . Fine go to Comcast to get a new one . Go to activate . Not working get sent to tech they get it somewhat working . He ask if I thought about maybe just buying one . Well just got back with a nice small one instead of the monster . Everything is setup and fast . Tomorrow the rental is going back and no more rental fee . Yeah thanks for all the running around Comcast . Only good parts of this was the nice lady at the counter and the honest tech .
So this just in. My new iPad Mini 4 I bought in October? DEAD! Yeah thanks to iOSh*t 9.2, the upgrade that killed it. It couldn’t get out of the dark pits of hell that was recovery mode. I took it in to CityMac today and even the geniuses couldn’t do it. They tried restoring it several times on multiple computers and didn’t work. Confirmed as being a defective device at that point. Unbelievable that it was working spectacularly beforehand.
In related news though, thanks to having insurance and all that, I’m getting a replacement tomorrow or Friday, whenever it comes in so I’m all for a happy ending here. Not sure if it’ll be refurbished or new.

Well another year of anime and forum posting is in the books. To the moderators, administrators, the Discourse crew and of course all the wonderful posters, have a fantastic and happy new year. I look forward to an even greater 2016 of more posting and anime streaming with everyone.
