Well I’ve been trying to get back into the swing of things with art and production - since my new site forced me to actually get back into it. I’ve been wanting to toy around with making an addition to my current logo. The current one is an homage to ADV (which no one has guessed the relevance yet - shame on you guys :P)… I want to blend that with another ADV inspiration from…
Gantz
So, I’m making something sorta inspired by the Gantz ball as the basis of whatever turns up. Not sure yet, who knows.
I’ve been toying around with a few ideas today. Mostly exercises and messing around to get me re-acquainted with doing art stuff again.
So far I’ve been messing around with a few 3D concepts as exercise and just to put a few ideas down and toy around with a few ideas.
Today’s result is making a room with a glass/metalic ball.
That’s some pretty interesting stuff there dragoon. I like the second one best. How did you create these pics? Are they actual balls, or did you have some images to work with?

Thanks slick!
They’re made in a 3d program like what they use in multimedia, games, tv, etc. I made a sphere then gave it glass and reflective properties. Then I put that sphere in a box to simulate a room, I put a ray of light and a camera to simulate the surroundings inside the box as well. The top and bottom (floor and ceiling) of the box were a little reflective.
I was busy this week but I think I’ll be finishing my little Gantz tribute today.
Here’s some new updates on what I mentioned a few days ago with what I was working on - the Gantz inspired ball and room experiment. Going to use what I brushed up on/learned to make these, to make my future site logo.

Dragoon, these are amazing! The first looks like it is actually moving down a hallway. I love the reflections (& your logo) in the second. I think the third is my favorite. I like the silver and your logo really catches the eye. And I like the play of light and dark in the fourth image. In all of them, I like the detail of the room with the pictures on the wall. I can’t wait to see your final one. Very nicely done!
Dragoon those are great! They really look like the Gantz ball. And man I’ve been trying to figure out what you mean by your logo being a refference to ADV somehow but I’m not sure what you mean by your logo. If you mean that big blue thing next to the “SX” on your page, I really am clueless. Ganna have to hint away.
