Fixed, but you should be able to fix these now since the editing parameters were changed.

Ep. 00

Believe the Hype this show has been getting as ufotable is doing a proper adaptation. This covers Rin’s prologue, which covers the first 3 days from the VN, Episode #01, will cover the same 3 days from Shiro’s point of view. Then we go into the adaptation proper. Animation was fantastic and the fight between Archer and Lancer was great.[/spoiler]

Best line “Go to Hell, Master!” when Rin asks Archer to clean up the mess he made when she summoned him.[/details]

Hour Long “Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]” Season Finale Announced

Studio ufotable is in all-out war to get this equivalent of 16 episodes done and has a screenshot to show for it

The currently running Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] is planned as a split cour production, with this fall’s season picked up with a second half launched in April. There’s also a movie based on the original visual novel’s Heaven’s Feel route in the work. The first part of these plans concludes December 27th, and, as with the episodes 0 and 1, this finale will be a double sized, hour long episode.

I totally hate you Aniplex:

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works TV Blu-ray Box 1 (S) (Import) (US)

Did you actually expect them not to do this?

That’s true. Sad thing is, if they do a domestic release, it’ll still cost about $600 for the whole series. Still it’s better than the $900+ the whole series will cost importing it.

Good thing about importing is you get it at least 7 months to a year earlier, but the drawback is the price.

Le sigh.

Why bother with the import nonsense when they could just cut to the chase and offer up the ultra-expensive dubbed edition right out of the gate? We know they’re going to do it so they might as well just do it now.

IIRC, the F/0 import didn’t sell out so I was hoping that Aniplex would have learned from that.

Aniplex to Release Imported Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works Blu-ray Set

posted on 2014-12-20 02:00 EST

5-disc set to include 13 episodes, ship in Japan, N. America on March 25

Aniplex of America announced on Friday that it will import the Fate/stay night (Unlimited Blade Works) - Blu-ray Disc Box I from Japan and release the set in North America on March 25. The set will ship simultaneously in Japan and North America.

Preorders also became available in North, Central, and South America on Friday. The set’s retail price is US$498.98, and the official FatestaynightUSA.com website is offering the set for US$398.98.

The release will include the television anime’s first 13-episode season with English subtitles on five Blu-ray Discs. In addition to the anime, the set includes a trailer collection, TV spot collection, and the textless opening and ending.

The set will bundle an exclusive novel by Fate creator Kinoko Nasu, with original character designer Takashi Takeuchi’s illustrations. Other bonuses include a soundtrack CD and a 50-page booklet featuring staff interviews, production materials, and more content.

People who buy the set through Aniplex of America’s official retailers will receive an English translation booklet for the deluxe booklet. Fans who purchase the box set through FatestaynightUSA.com will also receive a wall scroll with Takeuchi’s illustration (pictured left) while supplies last.

The Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works television anime follows the original game’s ‘Unlimited Blade Works’ route and premiered on October 4. Crunchyroll and Hulu are streaming the series in English-speaking territories as it airs in Japan.

The series will be split into two cours or quarters of the year. The latter half of the anime will premiere in April 2015.

Studio DEEN’s film adaptation of the ‘Unlimited Blade Works’ route premiered in Japan in 2010. Sentai Filmworks released the film in North America in 2012.

An anime film of the original game’s ‘Heaven’s Feel’ route has also been green-lit.

This is really pushing the bounds of “import” IMO.

I’ve heard of bluray releases in Japan that feature English dubs. Just dub the thing from the get-go and release that dub/sub version as the single worldwide version: that’s what Aniplex ought to do. It doesn’t seem likely that customers of this version would balk at any cost increase that a dub would bring
