Will Edit when it’s Final

Notes:
-Funimation it’s not a Complete Series if S2 was licensed by Someone else (Takagi-San)

-Please stop releasing everything at once, and if you do, put it in a Complete Collection, with everything in it. I’d be interested in picking up Shana, but I don’t want to pay $116.20, when you could have put it all in a complete collection for around $75

Just How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? Blu-ray and of course Million Arthur since it is already pre-ordered .

Others maybe later during one of Targets sales . The Essential’s stuff I have the Save versions or original versions .

Will edit/add if anything else pops up .

You know, this makes the 5th time Funi has released S1 and the 3rd time they released S2.

Ya think they could have put em together with the Movie for about $45?

If you have a supported VR kit, you can be in a virtual movie theater. Funimation is airing “you name.” in that program

How did your name compare to Weathering with You?

I do have to say something. I really appreciate Funimation moving it’s BD releases to 2 BD 50’s with 6-7 Eps per disc instead of the 9 on a BD 50 and 2-4 on a BD 25

What does that do?

@Vanime95

Basically a BD 50 holds 50 GB of data and a BD 25 holds 25 GB of data. So on a BD 50 in a 9 episode disc, each episode clocks in at about 5.4 GB / per Episode as 1 GB is usually allocated for Menus and Special Features on a disc. When a BD 50 has only 6-7 episodes you’re looking at around 8.2 GB / Episode on a 6 episode Disc and around 7 GB / Episode on a 7 Episode disc. It translates into a lot better Video Quality on the episodes because of the extra space being allocated to each episode on the disc.

Aniplex’s Discs are still the best though as they usually allocate around 10GB / per episode mirroring the Japanese release, and it’s also why Aniplex’s prices are higher, but if you’re a fan of a given show, the extra cost is usually worth it.

Oh.

So that’s 4k anime wuality?

No not at all. When a an anime is released on Disc Each episode is compressed to fit the disc. Going under a certain GB amount relates to loss of Video Quality, while the video will still be @ 1080p the Quality of the picture becomes less sharp going below certain thresholds and also what type of compression software you are using. Discotek has the lowest video “Sharpness” as they usually put 12 episodes / disc on their releases. It’s really noticeable on the newer stuff they release, not so much on the older stuff that they tend to license because the Quality back then wasn’t as good, and is dependent on whatever master they get from the Japanese licensor. A good encoder can clean the picture up on the older releases and make them look good or even better than when they originally aired.
