Games You're Playing

I have only been playing it for one day, but for that day it has been almost nothing but Skyrim. I have been wanting to play it for so long (ever since it came out), but I guess I decided to retain my tradition of not getting popular games until it has fallen out of most people’s interest. :stuck_out_tongue:

Lich King Barry Firebrow will bend the world to his will.

Now you get the advantage of all the mods like the high res and GUI repairing ones.

Guess this information did not pass over from my other posting about this game. I only have the Xbox 360 version.
Sometimes I wonder if putting my hand in boiling water is any more desirable than the load times and constant freezes.

Not to mention that the game takes a few minutes to load the loading screen.http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx86/Iron_Tager/Random/url_zps440ff155.jpg

Having played the 360 version I was in denial about anyone else going down that route. Bethesda tried but the poor 360 just doesn’t have what it takes to handle the huge open world.

If only oblivion and Skyrim would be ported the the ps4 generation. Even the PC would benefit from that since the game was optimized for the 360 and the resources of the PC and ps4 are wasted.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. Currently in the 3rd dungeon. I think this game will be much easier than Ages.
Recently got my Wii back up and running (finally :P). Have been playing a lot of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword since all of my save data is on the other Wii, and Sonic Colors. Gotta go fast. B)

I also just finished the main story on Phantom Brave: We Meet Again after a couple of days. Needless to say, I got super into it by the end. Cheering at each victory, throwing my arms up to mimic the attacks on-screen, giving my characters compliments on their strength, and finally crying at the end. The whole nine yards. :blush:It was a very enjoyable experience, and I look forward to playing some of the side material soon. :3
I’m totally glad to hear that you enjoyed Phantom Brave, tykes! There’s nothing more I enjoy than spreading NIS love for all to enjoy, dood. It’s my first NIS title, and is also my most favorite. Here’s hoping you tackle the post game stuff sometime.

You’re not alone with the attack animations. XD What was your favorite? Mine has to be Sword Dance, simple, yet elegant/classy, tykes.

It’s been quite the while, but games I’ve been playing since my last visit:
Bravely Default: I LOVE THIS GAME, TYKES. There’s really no wrong way to play, and you can do so much customization with your fighting style. I’ve maxed out all of my characters Job Levels- and levels overall- so I’ve been experimenting with my favorite matchup. My favorite classes so far would have to be Swordsmaster and… Monk, I guess (Spiritmaster has the best costume design, imo)?

As for the ‘contoversial’ part of the game, I really have no problem with. If anything, it gives you more info on your antagonists, and they are really the best part of the game, story-wise. Mephilia and Barbarossa have got to be my favorites- and Karen Strassman does such a chiller job on portraying Mephilia.

Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl (I received the ‘Day 1’ release, with the outtakes soundtrack and developer’s notes) - After EOIV, I knew that I had to pick up a copy of Untold. I love the game’s deep sense of adventure, and putting my job of cartographer to an even more refined level. The added story mode was really good, and made the game feel less lonely, for those who don’t like to use their imagination with their classic teams (not saying that I don’t, tykes, that’s another story). Not to mention that Yuzo Koshiro outdoes himself with another awesome soundtrack. The battle theme almost gives more testosterone than the Grandia II battle theme, and that’s saying a lot.

Mario Kart 7: I originally bought so I could play with a campus friend, but I ended up getting too into it, as usual with Mario Kart. This possibly takes up the most of my time than all of my other handheld games right now, as I’m trying to perfect the rest of the courses ( I have the mirror mode remaining).

Honestly, I’m not too thrilled with the MK7 tracks- there just weren’t any that stuck out to me. However, I’m a bigger fan with a lot of the retro tracks- Waluigi Pinball, NES Mario Circuit, and Maple Treeway, my top favorite from Mario Kart Wii.

Disgaea D2 (I got the ‘Day 1’ release, which contains a FULL soundtrack [OMG yes] and a poor excuse for a poster…): Being the NIS fanboy that I am, I finally gave in to temptation and snatched this up the moment I saw it a month ago. One who enjoys the original Disgaea story (but to a degree that I still love the other stories equally… lower than 2 and 4), it kinda felt right that the game got a sequel. I enjoy the fact that the gameplay went back to its roots with geo symbols and weapon mastery, as opposed to geo blocks and weapon forte (I HATE spending mana points for skill upgrades <_<’’). They brought the Lantern back (My favorite monster character- tied with the Marionette)… and he kicks so much tykes, dood. The new Female Heavy Knight looks totally awesome, and is the reason that I actually decided to use a Heavy Knight this time around- I hope she returns for the next game.

The story is pretty good. It really doesn’t kick in until later on in the game, and it may not hold a candle towards D1, but it gives so many feels, and even more respect for Etna. The attacks have gotten better, and very fast-paced, and I finished the post game rather quickly this time around. I guess I’m just making better tactics now, which makes me feel great. :]

So much more to say about it, really… but I’ve typed enough, except that Femharl is the greatest thing to ever happen, along with DLC Gig’s ‘Later, Bitches!’
So, as usual, I’m looking for some people to enjoy some multiplayer action with, tykes!

Mario Kart 7- I main with Rosalina, and then Koopa Troopa and Donkey Kong.

Pokemon Y- Which I’ve not played in a long while, but I raised a decent group of pokemon while on campus, so I could keep one excited for a short time, I suppose, tykes.

I would also love to exchange codes with anyone who have played Bravely Default. I could use some more help in saving the world for a second time, tykes. :stuck_out_tongue:

My FC: Timber- 4682-9312-3874
Out of all of the specials, I would say that ascension was my favorite. It just seemed to have such a precise and unique air about it, which was amplified seeing how I could only do it a couple of times during a single battle by the time I got to Sulphur.

Oh, and Sprout is a true hero. :'D
Just redeemed a free code for Thief on Steam. This game is 19.6 GB to download. That’s pretty insane as the graphics and audio I’ve seen/heard in this game aren’t up to what I’d expect from such a massive download.

EDIT: Playing Thief. GPUs are having a hard time with it.

Garrett’s female partner has this weird feisty “little sister” relationship with him. She’s like a steampunk Jamie Marchi character, so the game has a character using the Valley Girl vocal fry in a place where it really stands out. Everyone else is doing “posh” accents or “gravely whisper” and she sounds like Jimmy Fallon’s “EW!” sketch.

Sonic and Knucles: lava reef zone, im close to passing this zone

I forgot to mention im also playing Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex strikes Back. Im current stuck on the fourth warp zone

I went into playing Gears of War a few days ago, and will most likely start on Gears of War 2 tonight. Other than that, as usual, I have been on and off with osu! and Space Engineers.

I was finally able to get original Xbox games to work on my 360, and now after finishing Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary I have moved on to Halo 2. Just today I stopped Halo 2 at the mission Regret to take on Halo 3 ODST. I decided to try and keep it close to the actual chronological progression of the story, but maybe I should have waited one more level… or until the end of the game.
Oh well. :stuck_out_tongue:

Blasphemy! :woohoo: Tsk-tsk… playing the Halo games in a random order, Tager. Just kidding! But, if you ever need any Halo tips, tricks or Easter eggs… just let me know. I may not have gotten past level 47 of the ranking system in Halo 3, I so wanted my 50, but I’m a bit of a Halo fanatic. Have fun playing though, and feel free to ask me anytime.

Started playing Eternal Sonata (XBox360) while I was home. Got pretty into it, and looking forward to working more on completing it once I get the time. ^-^ What I have been playing more of is BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger (XBox360) with a few friends. It is the only BlazBlue we have, and I would prefer Continuum Shift, but it is fine for now.

Also, I been getting back into playing Skyrim (XBox360), but a little differently this time. A friend and I actually share the controller (me on the left side and them on the right), and work together to play the game. It is loads of fun, so long as you do not try to play too seriously. :stuck_out_tongue:

They usually do something like that at AGDQ every year called Two Players One Controller. They did Mirror’s Edge this year, and that was fun to watch. They also did the complete opposite with Goldeneye 007 for the N64, where they used the control setup in single player where you can use two controllers to control Bond…

Anyway, since I’m here… I’ve been playing a lot of Battlefield 4, PAYDAY 2, and Bordlerlands: The Pre-Sequel.
The fun factor of all three games is amplified significantly when playing with friends

I also decided to play through Homefront again, and I have to say, it’s as bad as I remember. It took another three hours to finish the game from start to finish, and by finish, I mean the game just sort of ends abruptly… Terrible game.

PC is where that game is meant to be played. Sadly no CS there either :frowning:

I’d be playing BL2: Pre-Sequel but Steam doesn’t have a 4-pack option so no dice ($90/person!). I was given a copy of Payday 2 and have been playing it coop but we don’t really get the game.

Dark Souls 2 [360] Why am I so addicted to this??

Banjo-Kazooie [XLA]

Already have a legal Copy of Fate Stay Night, but also snagged a Cheap copy of [Realta Nua] through Amazon, and am using the Mirror Moons English patch install and now get to play it with sound.

Also snagged a copy of Tron 2.0 on Steam the superior Tron game.

I remember that game from back in “the day”. Did you get it working with widescreen?

not yet, you have to install the unofficial patch, th

Yeah, first update the game to the 1.42 or 43 unofficial patch, put the Tron.exe in “Run as administrator”, run the game to update config files, then install the Killer App mod. If you have the steam edition, the instructions are on the Tron 2.0 community page.
