Sweet! I haven’t even done anything to merit that! woot! I win! Stick that in your pocket KYO haha.

Hmm, better stay away from me then. I am very much a cat person, though I like dogs too. Cats like me as well. Last time I visited my eldest sister’s place, woke up at night with two of her cats curled up on my legs, even though I was on the couch. My mom was visiting to look after the sick nephew and wondered why the cats didn’t bother her that night hehe.

On a more serious note, if you are that allergic, perhaps you should see if there is a treatment plan (might be scary shots) that can help you get rid of that allergy. I wouldn’t be comfortable knowing there was something I was deathly allergic too that is as common as a cat.

I went to a friend’s halloween party one night, and eventually passed out on one of their recliners, when I woke up the next morning, both of the dogs had curled up on my legs. A pug, and more of a medium sized dog, I’m surprised we didn’t tip over. ><

Yup, hopefully there is something out there because the people I talk to the most has cats. It triggers my asthma so its a double stab when it comes to cats. I usually have some meds and my asthma pump and I’m ready to go. Luckily I control it very well.

That’s so cute. I love my dogs but they don’t dare do that. My german Shepherd is too big!

I’m allergic to cats as well, but I managed to live with two of them at one point. Being around them all the time actually helped with my allergies, so I was lucky. But I feel for you!

And I once knew a full grown St. Bernard that thought he was a lap dog. Yeah, that was fun. :stuck_out_tongue:

Back when my cousin had one I did pretty well with at least his cat. If the house is fairly clean I do well with my allergy but if the house is disgusting I’ll be wheezing real quick. My record for wheezing because of a cat is ten minutes. Normally I can last hours before things get bad.

There may be hope for you yet!

Woo! I’m tough, no cat is going to scare me away!!! I can walk into a house, smell and know how long it will take for me to react. haha.

I have a dachshund who loves to curl up with me, but he’s getting old now… Used to have a Great Dane who would always think it was a lap dog as well. We tried to prevent it as a puppy, but the first time it got sick we got a little too lenient, and from there she was just a big lap dog. It was funny when she’d see you for the first time in the day, she’s just turn around and back into you forcing you to sit, or run into a wall, whichever came first.

I hate allergies, I didn’t have them throughout my entire childhood, and now whenever the snow gets really dirty and starts to melt I get allergy attacks. I got half way to work today and turned around, took a shower and some Benedryl, and passed out for another few hours.

I have a tiny chihuahua, probably one of the pets at my house I’m least keen on. He’s gotten better over the years about not barking at random cars driving by, but we live on an uncommonly travelled road, so whenever a large truck goes by, he gets loud. I guess it’s a protective behavior, but it gets old after 10 years of wolf cries. He’s also a wimp and can’t quite function without my mom being around.

I plan on getting a Corgi or Bernese Mountain Dog when I’ve got a house of my own. I don’t think I could handle a large dog like a German Shepherd. :o

I’m lucky and have yet to encounter any common allergies I may have. However, I do know that I’m allergic to penicillin… :expressionless:

Ya, my mom has a new dog, whose actually grown bigger than the vet ever expected to him. He’s definitely got a wild streak to him, and hard to control. I’ll play with him, but I’ll usually get all kinds of bite and scratch marks on me afterward, but it’s not like he draws blood or anything like that. I like the dog, but I don’t think I could ever live with him.

I’ve been thinking about getting a Corgi as well, my friend had one for awhile that was the bomb diggity.

I have that same allergy, it’s a lame one.
