Per PR:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SENTAI FILMWORKS LICENSES “LOVE, ELECTION & CHOCOLATE”

HOUSTON, August 29, 2012 — Sentai Filmworks’ is pleased to announce their latest acquisition: Love, Election & Chocolate. With series composition by Katsuhiko Takayama (ef ~ a tale of memories., And Yet the Town Moves), this series is sure to have the right recipe to win at the polls, and to complete the ticket, music by Elements Garden (Bodacious Space Pirates) and character designs by Hiroaki Gohda (Amagami SS, Please Teacher!) add the icing that tops it all off.

In Japan, participation in extra-curricular activities is as fundamental a part of an education as chalk and gym shorts. However, not all students are overachievers, and for those like Yuki Ojima, groups like the Food Research Club are welcome havens in which to slack-off. But what’s a slacker to do when the radical new candidate for Student Council president announces her intent to get rid of clubs like the FRC? Well, getting the help of the current Student Council president is a good start, but HIS suggestion is so counter-intuitive that it’s crazy: Yuki should run for the Student Council himself? And yet, it’s SO crazy that it just might work! Especially when Chisato, the chocolate-adverse president of the FRC (and Yuki’s best childhood friend,) and members of other targeted school clubs start to join the swelling FRC army. But can this army of goofs and goof-offs coast all the way to political victory? Or will someone have to step up to the plate and take one for the term? They may savor victory, they may taste defeat, but you’re certain to eat up LOVE, ELECTION & CHOCOLATE!

Love, Election & Chocolate will soon be available through select digital outlets.

Wow, 2 eps a week. Much nicer than the too-typical one, if I can say so

I don’t remember this show from when it aired at all…

It started this season (the Summer season in which we are currently in) so it’ll finish airing the end of Sept.

Well, it totally sailed past me. Only current seasons shows that even popped up on my radar were SAO and Total Eclipse. This show could be of interest to me, I’ll check out the stream. Those 2 other shows would also be Sentai licenses of interest, and unlike this show which is possibly of interest to me, those 2 shows definitely are

Episodes 01 & 02 are live at ANO

Please note that episode 1 is free and episode 2 is for Premium members.

And the first episode shows us why electric cars can be evil.

Episodes 03 & 04 are live at ANO

Mean girls. I kinda wish shows didn’t flash messages on the screens so quickly. The Japanese who are watching without a DVR may not even have been able to read what was on the screen at that one point.

Episodes 05 & 06 are live at ANO

So, the show airs on Mondays in Japan (if the start date on Wikipedia is to be believed), and the week they air episode 12 happens to be the same week as here, only 3 days behind. That is timing!

I was going to say something about these two episodes, but I forgot what it was.

I’m quite sure it was planned that way.
Simulcasts are generally 3 days behind.
Phi Brain for example, airs on Sundays, and shows up here on Wednesdays.

Ep. 05

I haven’t gotten to Ep. 06 yet, but I had to post after watching Ep. 05.

They’re cosplaying Madoka characters!!!

Episodes 07 & 08 are live at ANO

It took 7 episodes, but we get a hint at the one girl who can’t eat chocolate.

Now to find time to watch episode 8.

Eps. 07 & 08

Though it doesn’t stick to the election half the time, I’m actually really enjoying how this is turning out.

spoiler

We get some nice character developement with Hazuki & Satsuki, and we find out what their thing is.
Amusingly enough, all the girls seem to be going after Yuki.
Chisato I can understand, but he actually shot her down in these episodes.
Seems like it’s going to take the Mashiroiro Symphony route, and have Yuki actually pick one of the girls and it won’t be the obvious choice (obvious one being Chisato).

Episodes 09 & 10 are live at ANO

For a 12 episode anime, there sure are a lot of plots that needs closure for there to be 2 episodes left.

@ AWA

Episode 11 is live at ANO
