I have both the AnimEigo set and ADV set.
It’s funny Harmony Gold paid for the new dub(which was in my opinion just ok) if I’m remembering right. If your going to hostage situation it. Why?
My personal opinion it’d be better to throw money at a new Macross series or movie then keep trying with Robotech. I’m from the age group that has the nostalgia factor for it but honestly while I still enjoy Robotech from it’s a childhood cartoon front. Keeping its parts hostage is not a good move because most people that wanted it own it and those that may have still bought are put off by the situation. Good releases of the parts would sell well. Well Macross at least. Southern Cross and MOSPEADA would probably sell but not as good.

So it was older woman that tried and it’s almost as she gets saved before it happens. I remember many at the time thought it was a poorly inserted moment but since it was made in my opinion even if in bad taste it should have been left alone.
Now I have to wonder would that have been left in the NA release if Nozomi has not been murdered/absorbed by Sony?

Macross Hypes Major Gundam Studio Collab Announcement

A new Macross anime was announced back in 2023, being produced by Sunrise Studio, the same studio behind the Gundam shows. The Sunrise-produced Macross anime was announced two years after the major Macross news that the franchise can now finally start releasing outside of Japan. However, not much progress for the new series has been revealed for the new anime. Sunrise had its plates full with producing the latter half of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, releasing the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom movie, and collaborating with Studio Khara to create Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. Fortunately, Big West, the company that owns the rights to Macross, has finally shared the first tidbit on the new anime.
Have to assume this takes place after Delta
