Lucky Star had ridiculous expectations, though. And was more a Kadokawa property that Bandai was distributing.
While I don’t expect a dub, it’d be nice to get one.

Finished up ep. 18
That entire episode was just soooo funny!
First we get…
A continuation of the coffee shop that Yuko had so many problems ordering from.
Then we get…
Some more Mai and Yuko humor…
But what takes the cake for this episode…
Is the continuation of Yuko’s classtime daydream’s on Mio’s hair.
Man, that part was the funniest!
Episode 18 –
I’m with you Coffee God! This episode made me laugh more than usual.
Loved the gun in the book! I also loved the segment on entertaining the princess and the changing of Mio’s pigtails.
Finished up ep. 19
Oh my!
I love this series so much!
Some parts are just absolutely insanely funny.
Like this episode…
That whole bar jump skit was just way beyond funny!
Finished up ep. 20
Not a bad episode, but no really funny parts with this one.
Most of it revoloved around Mio’s manga
I found the entire story of Mio’s manga to be great. Mio just got more and more mad. Kind of nice to see a focus on her since it seems she was suppose to be the lead but Yuuko and Nano really outshone her.
As I said, it wasn’t bad.
It just lacked a great deal of ‘umph’ as far as comedy goes that other episodes had for me.
I really hope Bandai releases this on BD. The animation is just so damn amazing at parts.
IMHO, Nichijou has at least 5x more general appeal than Lucky Star. Lucky Star would be horrible on Adult Swim, whereas Nichijou would fit brilliantly (not like either will actually ever be on there, though).
Ideally, I’d want it without any minor QC issues as well.
Finished up ep. 21
Yay!
Cube continuation!
So, Yuko is back to daydreaming again.
I love how it’s always #8 that it revolves around.
This time, Mio is searching for her missing cube in Fey Kingdom airship.
As she lays waste to anyone that tries to stop her, #8 manages to push her out of the hole in the ship that she created.
And back to Earth, and her school desk she comes!
Finished up ep. 22
Not as good as some of the other episodes, but still had it’s humorous moments.
Mai is such a troll though!
And it always seems to work out so perfectly for her as well.
Finished up ep. 24
It seems like everyone is obsessed with Sasahara to one degree or another.
The vending machine part was humorous though.
Finished up ep. 25
Aww…
That was so sweet it actually brought a tear to my eye.
I was crying right along with Mio when they showed what the prize was she won.
This actually would have been a perfect episode to end the series with!
But, there’s still one more to go.
Why couldn’t that have been the end…
Well it is a comedy so it has to end funny and not nice.

Suzuki: My Ordinary Life, R-15, A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives did not break even
Yeah, not really a surprise for those that even loosely follow DVD sales.
At least it’s already got a North American licensee!

Series to air on ETV starting this January
God, I hope it’s the 26 episode version…
I’d probably still buy the 13, but I don’t think I’d be nearly as happy about it.
Interesting indeed.
14:45:50 <bay|AX|NISA> Q: Can you bring over Nichijou?
14:46:08 <bay|AX|NISA> A: I can’t say that…
14:46:11 <bay|AX|NISA> I think I know who took
14:46:17 <bay|AX|NISA> I think it was taken by someone
I’m hopin g it’s Sentai, but at this point, it could be either FUNi or Sentai.
Or AoA, Diskotek…or hell, maybe it’s MB in a surprising turn of events.
I can’t see Funi getting it. Nope, sorry, not at all.
Apparently someone from NISA stated at other panels that they believed Sentai had it, but those were a couple months ago (allegedly I must emphasize.). It does seem more like a show that Sentai would be interested in, rather than Funimation, but you never know.
