Plot Summary: Loki, the Norse god of mischief, has been exiled to the human world for what was apparently was a bad joke. Along with being exiled, he’s forced to take the form of a child. He’s told the only way he can get back to the world of the gods is if he can collect auras of evil that take over human hearts, and so to do this he runs a detective agency. Loki is soon joined by a human girl named Mayura who is a maniac for mysteries, and she soon helps out in her own way. However, soon other Norse gods begin to appear, and most have the intent to assassinate Loki for reasons unclear.

Also finished up this series last month.
I picked up this series not too long ago to finish, since I really enjoyed the last half of it I saw when I first subscribed to Anime Network SVOD.

It puts an interesting twist on Norse mythology that you just don’t see often. The characters, the mood, the animation, and even the music, is really well done. Of course, Kira Vincent-Davis playes one of the main characters (Mayura) so it instantly gets my approval.

This was a fairly popular series 2-3 years ago in this forum during the height of the series’ play through on Anime Network. It’s in my opinion one of the most underrated ADV Films offerings… it’s a fun and entertaining series with a memorable cast and a memorable dub. Combining elements of mystery and mythology worked very well through the series.

I grabbed this at work, right before our big anime sendback at the beginning of the year. I still have yet to watch it, as recent specials at Right Stuf have filled my backlog with many ADV and Bandai shows. I haven’t quite figured out where to place this one, in terms of priority. But I think I will watch it, after I finally get around to finishing Eva and Gantz.

Since this will be back on VOD April 7th, I thought it might be good to bring back this thread

I’ve actually been kinda wondering about this since the news letter.
With all the newer stuff being added to the schedule, I wonder if this is just being added to the VOD schedule for those of us with a higher monthly time allotment or if it’s being added to the schedule for everyone.

I guess we’ll find out when either the April schedules are posted or it pops up on VOD on the 7th.

Well, everyone got Mahoromatic and will be getting Something More Beautiful starting next Thursday, so I hope that’s the sign of a trend. We should know later this week when the April schedule comes out.

The April schedules are up. I see that ATT is getting MythLoki and Elfen Lied, whereas DirecTV is not.

That’s “those of us who have subscription VOD”, Coffee. Since DirecTV is positioning its Cinema direct VOD as a free service “compliments of DirecTV” I don’t expect to see them add TAN as a subscription service any time in the near future.

No, I meant what I said, “those of us with a higher monthly time allotment
Meaning, those of us who have 45 hours a month, and not 30 hours a month.
Other subscribers still with the 30 hour range (Cox, Suddenlink, etc…) are not getting this either, therefore, it’s not just merely all Subscription users.

The Coffee God wrote:

While some providers may have a lower number of hours for SVOD, I am pretty sure that all FVOD providers are capped at 30 hours a month. That was the basis for my previous statement.

Now, I’m not upset that I can’t get SVOD from DirecTV, I’m just upset that the announcement didn’t specify which providers or types of VOD would get the returning shows.
