Naruto / Naruto Shippūden / Boruto

That’s good to hear. How far into Shippuden are you?[/quote]

I’m up to the first fight between Sasuke and 8 Tails Killer Bee. There is currently a filler arc going on that I am skipping. I’m much farther in the manga though.

I don’t want to look in that spoiler tag. What ep #?

Episode 143 I do believe.

Wow, I thought you were only on a few episodes ahead of us when this started here.

Does it ever get as good as the first half of Naruto?

I’m on 149 and think it gets better then the first half. I just can’t say why without going into major spoilers. The best I can say it involves other members of the Akatsuki.

Really? That’s good to hear.

Around which episode did it get really good for you and does it ever have fights as cool as the Hokage arc in the first Naruto?

The fight in arc that starts at 72-88 has some good fights in it. The problem the blood edits may make a part of them confusing but think they are better then the Hokage fights. The arc between 33-53 also has some good fights. I think the best fight though is between 135-138. The really good stuff in the manga has yet to be animated.

The good news ep. 119-120 has the back history of Kakashi and the mystery of his Sharingan eye.

As for Naruto don’t worry he will get several times to shine in future episodes.

As strong as the First Invasion of the village was, the next invasion eclipses it. There are so many great fights IMO.

If you’ve missed any of the last few episodes, good news!

Thanks for the heads up slowhand. Wednesday night is killing me. I keep forgetting to watch, or can’t watch, so I’ll set a reminder for tomorrow. I am enjoying Shippuden so far, good stuff.

So dragoon what did you think of ep #26 - Puppet Fight: 10 vs. 100?

spoiler

That puppet battle was insane. Good thing Sakura brought as many antidotes as she did. Even though Sakura and Lady Chiyo were a badass team, they barely escaped with their lives. That was an epic showdown right down to the very end. Great TV! Now all eyes are on Kakashi and Naruto to take down the other guy.

Does anyone know how much gets cut from Disney XD? It seems a little short. When I record it the show only lasts 19 minutes doesn’t include the intro, most other anime I have watched are usually 21 minutes with out intro or closing credits.

That’s a good question, perhaps Blakdragon will answer, I believe he is watching it subtitled.

They are just making content cuts at this point. So far mostly been removing blood and they removed the scenes of Sakura with the sword exiting from her back. I have yet to see any indication they are cutting scenes for time.

I liked it - some interesting twist at the end there with how the fight resolved. This series continues to be highly entertaining. Still kind of waiting for the level of epic pump-you-up type fights of the original Naruto though. So far the fights in Shippuden aren’t getting me hyped and pumped up in the same way. Still, I remain very entertained. I’m looking forward to the shift in focus to Naruto and Kakashi now… I hope!

Man this rarely happens at all but watching the episode “Aesthetics of an Instant” hit me hard emotionally. It sure is a good wake up call. Don’t judge others for being different.

4-14-10

This date marks the first opening changeover in Naruto Shippuden on episode 31 “The Legacy” (second to the last of season 1) titled "Distance"

I haven’t posted much in the last week and a half here because I got sucked into Shippuden subbed on Hulu(over 100 episodes). I don’t know how many people are following this series, but I’m loving it. Once I caught up on the dub I had to watch the legally subbed episodes. What a great series.

In “The New Target” this new guy has pretty sweet Okami-like attacks.

I wonder if he’s the one joining the “new” kakashi team.
