I agree with you there. Ayame does seem to be well matched with Yoichi and Ibuki and Washizu also make a good couple. It would be nice if things ended this way, although I have a feeling they wonât. But we shall see!
Episode 10 -

It looks like they are the only ones that went to the hot springs after all. And theyâre the only guests too because the place is supposedly haunted. It was nice of Yoichi to take pity on the proprietress and offer to get rid of the evil spirits. Ibuki offers too and Chihaya talks Ayame into going with them. But it turns out that the proprietress is really Sakon.
*
Yoichi and Ibuki fall into a hole and get separated, but Yoichi finds Ayame. Sheâs scared and hugs him but he gets flustered and Ayame gets a little more affectionate. The way sheâs behaving â that canât possibly be Ayame. Meanwhile, Ukyou finds Ibuki and asks her about a promise they made when they were little, but Ibuki doesnât remember any promise. In fact, she doesnât even remember him. Ukyou points out Yoichi and Ayame and Ibuki says it must be a ghost because her sister wouldnât act that way.
*
Yoichi knows the same thing and pushes the fake Ayame away from him. Itâs also Sakon in disguise and she uses her sleeping incense on them. Ukyou takes Ibuki and tells Yoichi that sheâs his fiancĂ©e. I thought the mentioned promise might have been something like that. He also thinks that Yoichi erased her memories which is why she doesnât remember him or the promise and swears he will get her memory back. Ukyou tells Yoichi to go back to the mountains, but he fights the effects of the incense and vows to protect the girls.
*
Back at the inn, Yoichi is confronted by Yui who is working for Ukyou again and he actually has to fight her as well as a bunch of other assassins, both old and new. I liked the âJawsâ scene. That other mountain assassin finally made it to the party too. The real Ayame shows up to help and I love the way that Yoichi made sure it was really her. Ayame takes care of Chihaya and Kagome while Yoichi defeats the horde of assassins. They find Ibuki back at the inn, but she doesnât know who any of them are. What did Ukyou do to her memory? Or is it Sakon in disguise again?
Ooh! I didnât even think of that possibility. Wow, Wicca, you are so sharp!

I guess that really was Ibuki after all, but she thinks sheâs four years old! It was sad to see Ibuki running around the house, looking for her mother and father and not knowing who anyone was. But it was funny when she called Yoichi âdojo destroyerâ! Itâs good that Yoichi wants to find out if Ibuki and Ukyou are really engaged.
*
They really shouldnât have let Ibuki teach in her condition. The kids notice that sheâs âacting more childishly than usualâ but donât seem to mind her jumping up and down! And Ibuki is such a brat! I wonder if thatâs how she really was at four years old.
*
Ukyou and Sakon show up. I had wondered why they abandoned her at the inn, but I guess it was all part of Ukyouâs very elaborate plan. He tells them that the drug he gave Ibuki took her to the time she most wanted to return to. He convinces her family that Ibuki was tired of being the head of the household and being responsible for all of them. Since she is too much to handle, Ukyou offers to take Ibuki off their hands while his sister makes the antidote. Ukyou tells them that once he and Ibuki are married, he will be responsible for them and will give them âcelebrity treatmentâ.
*
Ukyou then makes Yoichi an offer he canât refuse. Ukyou really has a way with words. Since he needs Yoichi out of the picture, he gets Angela to offer him a place at the Tsubame Benten School. He bribed Angela with the promise of paying to rebuild her school. He is just using his money and power to buy off everyone and convinces them that everything heâs doing is for the best.
*
Meanwhile, Washizu and Torigaya have come across a crying Ibuki. I think Washizu was in heaven when Ibuki asked him to take her away! However, later he realizes something is wrong with her. They end up in a sandbox at the park. That was some outfit he bought her too. Once they realize they have a child on their hands, Torigaya goes back to the dojo to see if he can find out whatâs going on. But when Washizu tries to go after him, Ibuki grabs his arm and tells him not to leave her and the Washizu Vision kicks in! Then Ukyouâs guy tazers Washizu and takes Ibuki.
*
So, a dejected Yoichi says goodbye to the girls and tells them he is going with Angela. But when he sees how wrong things are, he snaps out of it. He says that the decision he had made was causing him to run away but he now promises to get Ibuki back and return her memory. So much better! Yoichi and the sisters go off to rescue Ibuki, but I hope the others join them as well.
*
And it turns out that Ukyou is a liar! He had Sakon turn Ibuki into a four year old on purpose! He likes her like that because she was four when they met. No wonder she doesnât remember him or the promise. Ukyou is definitely missing a few screws!
I just checked and DirecTV finally got episode 11, so now Iâll be able to catch up!
just finished this one up⊠great series IMOâŠ
i love how the whole thing was wrapped up in a letter to Yoichiâs father⊠and he just blows his nose on it, says rubbish, and throws it on the ground. lol effin hilarious!!!
yoka
Is that really it, no bonus episode? Iâm not sure I see where Torigaya did any more than for some reason go from teenager to child at the end of it
while yoichi is reading the letter aloud wassan has another vision and i believe hes looking at torigaya âhalf-flashingâ him⊠and im pretty sure there are a set of boobs (rather large ones too)
I read on Wiki that Torigaya turns into a female for some reason. Metamorphosis.
Episode 12 â
spoiler
I like the way Yoichi makes a raft! The group arrives at the Saginomiya house only to have Sakon tell them that her brother is marrying Ibuki and they arenât welcome. I loved the gun-toting maids, but the butlers were just weird. Iâm glad that Washizu and the rest of their friends showed up when they did. Torigaya looks like a little kid now. Itâs nice that Angela has settled on Washizu instead of Yoichi to rebuild the school. Washizu has really turned around. I loved his reaction when Angie stripped Tsubasa!
*
It was nice to finally see what exactly the promise was, but I canât believe that Ukyou would base a marriage on that. And if he talks of getting himself stronger then why hide behind his money and the hiring of assassins? He really hurts his sister again too when he tells her that sheâs useless, but she does stay loyal to him out of love. Iâm glad Yoichi got there in time and it looks as if Ibuki is starting to get some of her memory back. But Ukyou takes Ibuki away again and leaves Sakon to deal with the family. However, I think Yoichiâs words reached her when he said â âwhat good is happiness without a family?â Sakon lost Ukyou to his obsession with Ibuki a long time ago and I think sheâd like Yoichi to give her back her brother as well.
*
Yoichi confronts Ukyou on the roof as he is trying to get away with Ibuki and convinces him to fight for himself. They finally duel, but Ukyou is no match for Yoichi and quickly loses. Ibuki does have most of her memory back at this point, but falls off the weakened roof. Sakon holds her brother back as the others go after her and Yoichi saves all of the girls as their friends look on. Torigaya is even smaller now. It also looks as if Ukyou may finally be over his obsession and Sakon has her brother back.
*
The group landed in the water, but since Yoichi canât swim, he grabs the nearest flotation devices â Ibukiâs breasts - and the fully recovered Ibuki sends him flying. Right after this thereâs a flash of a person drinking tea. I wonder who this is. It really didnât look like any of the other characters. Ukyou and Sakon are on a train and it looks like theyâre leaving town. Sakon may have her brother back, but he still has Ibukiâs picture. And according to Washizu Vision, it looks like little Torigaya has grown up again but this time as a cute girl. Very, very weird - but funny.
*
Yoichi writes to his father that he has decided to stay at the dojo a little longer. He has learned a lot, but still has a long way to go. His father receives the letter, blows his nose in it and calls it ârubbishâ. I think he really misses his son and it looks like his animal friends do too. I also like how the ending featured Ibuki instead of Yoichi â a nice twist. This was such a fun show. Iâd like to have seen another season with further adventures, but for what it was, it ended well.
I agree with you, Wicca-it seems like the left the door wide open to do a second series.
