Episode 22 -
[details=spoiler]Hikari sure is acting weird ever since Kei mentioned that she might have a romantic interest in him. She can’t even call him by his first name and never has. She tries hard and ends up calling him “Kero” and even thinks that she might really hate him. And it looks like Aoi is still plotting to get Kei to London.
Kei gets Hikari to say his name, but tells her that it’s ok to keep calling him by his last name. She admits that saying his first name makes her “choke” and Kei says it’s because she has “romantic feelings for him. Hikari says that it’s “absolutely impossible” and Kei asks her to prove it by going on a date with him. But when they meet, she takes it as a challenge and turns everything they do into a competition, always losing to Kei too. But at least Kei doesn’t tease her this time and call her Miss Second Place.
Hikari keeps denying her feelings to herself, insisting that she and Kei are only rivals and can’t even picture telling him that she loves, thinking it’s “creepy”. As she continues to struggle with her feelings, Kei is starting to think that she really doesn’t like him. He actually apologizes to her and asks for forgiveness, wishing they could go back to the way they were. Hikari finally realizes that she does love him and kisses his forehead, but before she can tell Kei, his phone rings and she runs away. After overhearing two girls talk about love and how “the one that falls in love is the loser”, Hikari decides not to tell Kei she loves him, refusing to consider herself a loser, but Kei knows how she feels anyway. He finally seems content.
And what does Aoi have to do with the conservatory being padlocked? I wonder what kind of hold Kei’s grandfather has over the school and Tadashi’s mother.[/details]
Episode 23 -
[details=spoiler]Tadashi’s mother confirms that the Special A class is disbanded. But Kei knows that Aoi is behind it. Hikari stays positive as they attend regular classes and they agree that as long as they are together, nothing else matters. However, Tadashi’s mother just had to tell Aoi the same thing – that disbanding the Special A class won’t break up the group. So, that is taken care of as well when Jun and Megumi are suddenly called home and so is Akira. Ryu finds out that all three have left school for good. That Aoi has some far reaching influence! And Kei finds out that the Takishima Group is behind everything.
Hikari tells Kei that she doesn’t need the SA, but doesn’t want to lose her friends. She even starts to cry as she tells Kei that she loves her friends. As Hikari pulls herself together, Kei gives her a small sprig of flowers and says that if she can protect them for one day, he will use his “magic” to put things back to the way they were. Then he ruins the mood by calling Hikari “Miss Second Place” but also tells her to wear her SA uniform the following day and walks off into the sunset. Why does this look like a farewell? Were the flowers really a goodbye? He later has a sweet dream of Hikari admitting her feelings to him.
The next day, all are back in the conservatory except Kei. However, his uniform is folded neatly on his favorite chair. Akira tells Hikari that Kei went to London so that the SA could be restored. Tadashi rushes Hikari to the airport, but they are too late. It was heartbreaking to see Hikari chasing after the plane, crying and calling out Kei’s name. He sees her from the plane’s window and bids her a silent farewell as the plane takes off, leaving a devastated Hikari behind.[/details]
Wicca, you know how I feel about it. But…
It’s always darkest just before the dawn!
Oh NO! Tonight’s the last episode of Special A!
:pinch:
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did Newshawk!
Episode 24 -
[details=spoiler]Finally! It’s about time!
Although they had to go half way around the world to resolve this – I just love happy endings!!! :)[/details]
It’s over
But I had a great time watching this series. It was really funny and sweet. Hikari FTW!!
It’s nice to see this fun show back on VOD.
Episode 2 –
[details=spoiler]Kei is really concerned for Hiakri’s safety, but I wish he had just told her that he didn’t want to see her get hurt instead of calling her a nuisance. That is just adding fat to the fire!
Even during the match with the Fankyu Brothers, Kei tries to protect Hikari while she just wants to fight. For all the years he’s known her, Kei should recognize the fact that she can hold her own. I’m glad he finally realized they work better together as a team. They are in perfect sync with one another and of course Kei and Hikari win![/details]
New DUB Collection cover art has been posted.
-quoted from the back cover-

REALLY?!?!
That’s just soooo wrong!!
I sure hope they rephrase that before it gets released.
Also, per the back cover, looks like the ADR Director is Scott Gensch.
With Monica Rial and Blake Shepard as cast.
Unspecified roles, but probably Hikari & Kei respectively.

Can’t say that I really follow this ADR director.
Blake Shepard & Monica Rial? How could it not be good lol
DVD only…ouch.
TBH I think they should leave the back of the box as is. It wouldn’t be the first of their releases to have wonky cover text and at least this one is humorous.
