Saiga, once a war photographer, works for Hibara Ginza in the capitalist state of Tokyo. He infiltrates into Roppongi Club, a secretive base located in the red district area of the city, to collect information about them. However, he was caught in the process and brought forward to a girl called Kagura who was in the midst of a ritual. His contact with Kagura awakens his special ability: the power to make things explode once photographed. In order to unravel the mystery behind the Roppongi Club and Kagura, Saiga begins his solitary battle. Number of episodes: 24 Vintage: 2005-04-07 to 2005-09-29[/quote] ANN Info Page
I tried watching a bit of this some time ago, but I could never get into it. I might give it another go, but it’s pretty far down my priority list and my DVR is already recording a lot with so many shows starting up again recently, not to mention all the shows here…lol
This is one of my favorite action titles, along with Black Lagoon and Cyber City. This is truly a fun show to watch. Dark, disturbing, sexual, violent, action packed, yet with interestign characters and themes. Gonzo can’t get enough of the rich v poor themes, but hey neither can I! It’s a strong theme, that hits deep. Plus this entire series just builds on it’s self each episode, with a top notch ending. Sadly it’s not as fun the second (or third) time around, but damn do I love Ginza (“SELF DEFENSE!!”)

I’m loving it… I’m up to episode 8, having watched like 4 or 5 episodes today. It’s even cooler as I’ve met a couple of the VAs for the English dub. Clarine Harp (Ginza), Jeremy Inman (Kaori) and Chris Cason (Misake in eps 5-6) did a panel on DVR post production at Tokyo In Tulsa last June.
I agree that this was a wonderful series. I really enjoyed the ending on this one too. I think it’s one of the few perfect endings to a story like this.
