Our local Publix on Simpson Road had a huge Superbowl display featuring Real Sugar Pepsi in 12 PK cans. It’s been months since there had been Real Sugar Pepsi like that in the stores we shop at.
My boys like it, so needless to say we bought a couple of boxes.

Actually, imo, New Coke was made to fail, intentionally. It was used as a ruse so they could re-patent the Original formula under a new name and basically keep the original formula patent protected for another 100 years
As well as change from pure cane sugar to high fructose corn syrup, correct?
I lived thru the New Coke debacle, if they did that deliberately then they had worse problems than an expiring patent.
Almost no one used Cane sugar for soda by the mid-80’s when all this happened. Corn sweetener had taken over.
