Strange flavor beverages

Another Dollar Tree pickup!

Yami: “It says Reese’s flavored, but I’m only picking up the peanut butter flavor. No chocolate… If it’s there, it’s very subtle… Also, this was one of the DT+ items, at $3 a can.”

Another flavor of liquid death from Dollar tree!

Yami: “It’s lightly flavored mango sparkling water. It’s not as good as their tea, but it is very refreshing!”

Yami: “We absolutely had to try this!!!”

Nemesis: “It’s peach flavor. Not too bad! And at least we know where Sonic gets all his energy from now! Lol!”

Everyone: “Gotta go fast!”

Another Dollar Tree Liquid Death!

Yami: “This one we’re not fans of. There’s nothing wrong with it specifically, just not fans of watermelon flavored drinks much. Though, if you like lightly sweetened sparkling water and watermelon, you’ll probably like this one.”

Another flavor of Liquid Death from Dollar Tree!

Yami: “This one is a slightly tart berry flavor! Honestly the best seltzer water we’ve tried from them so far!”

This one was found at the Dollar Tree next to Del Taco on 192! (Took a different route home today. Lol.) It’s a special one, as it’s the one our friend said was his favorite flavor, so had to try it!

Yami: “So it’s the Berry It Alive flavor, except it’s tea instead of sparkling water! And, yes! It’s awesome!!!”

Nemesis: “To prove a point… The store had 24 cans of it… Which had a total cost of $32… Take a guess how I know how many cans they had and what the total cost was…”

I learned something today. Apparently the Liquid Death company is changing all their recipes to include stevia now, apparently to make them “sweeter”, and all the stock at Dollar Trees are old stock that they just were getting rid of.

This one is from Walmart, and it’s the stevia version of Grim Leafer from a few posts above.

Yami: “The stevia does make it sweeter, but at a cost. It’s actually not as enjoyable as the Grim Leafer flavor, as it has the “it’s not sugar” sweetener aftertaste. We don’t mind it much, but the Grim Leafer version is much better.”

Yes I think Liquid Death started selling their first cans to consumers in 2019 and have around 15 flavors to try.

And you has tried at least half of them.

Are they adding Splenda or Stevia.
I have tried Splenda and I am getting use to the taste of Splenda.

So I might like their new Death recipe.

Making that late 2000’s anime company mistake of trying to attract the heathens and forgetting the people that put them where they are.

Tea should not be overly sweet. Stevia is like one of the worse things to add to tea as it does not complement the flavor.

I drink Zevia sodas and they taste great for most of them but the tea they make sucks. Again the stevia does not work with any tea in my opinion.

The agave Liquid Death used did not over power the tea or leave a bad after taste. Such a shame as I believe this is going to cost them more business then bring more in.

They used to import water from the German Alps. Very good clean tasting water about on par with something like Fiji. Then they switched to some US source which taste like straight tap water.

Sucaryl / Cyclamate was THE artificial sweetener when I was in my early teens. NOTHING could compare. Not any other sweetener or even real sugar. Of course it had all sorts of problems, the biggest one being that it was essentially addictive. Ask me how I know this.

So, I don’t drink sweet tea.

As a double whammy of working an overnight shift, then going right back in for an afternoon shift, and it being @Slowhand’s birthday, had to try this!!!

Yami: “This one is way better than the Reese’s one! Tastes like if you dissolved an Oreo in a cup of coffee! Lol.”

When I tried the Reese’s one (I got the carton version) I didn’t like it much either. And I love Reese’s peanut butter cups.

But if I see this Oreo version I might give it a try. Though, my favorite Oreo flavor is the peanut butter kind

The dragon fruit refresca we had the free coupon for at Taco Bell from our one post in the food thread!

Yami: “This was genuinely good! Like a dragon fruit refresher at Wawa, but not as watered down!”

The honeydew melon boba from Lin’s Garden with our meal on Tuesday!

Yami: “It’s our favorite flavor they have. Though I wish they had rosehip tea. That’s my absolute favorite flavor milk tea. :yellow_heart::black_heart:
