Generally, soundtracks mean the most when it comes to actually enjoying media to it fullest for me.

Speaking of soundtracks, this has been stuck in my head all morning.

I actually didn’t like the I/O Drive Mix when I first watched the Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail OP, which is kind of surprising, since I simply adore Red Fraction.

But for some reason, after listening to the full I/O Drive Mix song the other day, I just can’t get it out of my head.

When I was looking at Rankin & Bass Hobbit stuff earlier, I was reminded of how awesome the soundtracks were for those movies.

I got an email from Benevolence last month announcing their new album “GOD”.
Looks like they added their new album to cdbaby today!

So I’m going to have to get this CD sometime in the near future.

This movie was laughable save for a few parts, but Phillip Rhee just kicks all kinds of ass.

I loved the end bit the most though, mostly for the beautiful song they used.

More great stuff. The Hobbit brought some nice memories and I think you just turned me on to another group. I shall have to check out Benevolence!

Yay!
More Benevolence fans!

I kind of feel like I actually have to buy this album, just because Valbon is such an awesome guy.

Here is my tale
I bought The Grand Story CD a few years back on cdbaby, and loved it so much, I wanted the other 3 previous releases as well. I noticed that they were no longer made, and this was back before the owner of cdbaby sold the business to another company, so he didn’t have any digital downloads of the albums either.

So I wrote an email to the band’s address on their homepage, asking if there was any way to buy the previous releases because I was highly interested.

And do you know what Valbon did, he asked for my shipping address and then sent two of the three previous releases to me free of charge… shipped out of his own pocket… all the way from Sweden!
He’s that awesome!!

Stardust Witch Meruru + Madoka!

The new Stormwarrior album rules!
But that’s to be expected from them, as all their albums are really good.

Ooo!
An artist and album I didn’t know about, and they even have the cliched ‘opera’ in the band name!
-lol-

Wow, that didn’t last long.

In that case, here’s something else to replace it.
Another 2011 album I’ve been enjoying lately.

I loved their previous albums, especially Bloodangel’s Cry.

More great music Coffee God! It was really nice of Valbon to send you those CDs - great story!

Wow you guys are really into all this symphonic metal!
That being said, ya gotta go with the classic symphonic band that I enjoy but can’t understand one bit, NightWish!

lets not forget what could be considered the grandfather or foundation to symphonic metal, and the penultimate guitar solo, Iron Maiden!
