Yeah! BSF! And Anansi Boys eh? It was okay.
And how odd I am presently reading āDuneā.
Lol, BSF was good. Kinda weird with the way I read the sequel first, so there were times when I was like āOH NO! Donāt give the bronzers the turtles!ā
The Borders I go to only has the same Niel Gaiman books in stock, so when I saw Anansi Boys I jumped on it since it was more than just American Gods, Good Omens, Smoke and Mirrors, and a few others they always have.
Dune is an amazing book, have you read it before?
The most recent buy for me (a weeks ago) was an Xbox console and 6 games from Amazon in new condition.
Shenmue 2
Destroy All Humans 2
Oddworld Strangers Wrath
Oddworld Munches Oddysee
Ultimate Spiderman
Psychonauts

I read them all one summerā¦ I was rather bored. But I donāt really remember the plots that well anymore, I suppose I should brush up on them again. They are sitting rightā¦ over there.
Over the past week I have bought:
- G.Skill Trident DDR3 1600 4GB RAM
- EVGA P55 FTW motherboard
- Noctua NH-U12P SE2 CPU heatsink
- TP Link Wireless G/N router
Oh, and a new black ink cartridge for my printer.
What CPU are you planning on getting? Also sounds like your transferring your GPU over, what one are you using right now?

Intel Core i5 750. By far the best bang-for-buck processor right now, especially at $150. Outperforms AMDās top offering. Also performs mostly about as well as the Core i7 920, except for applications that take advantage of multithreading or higher memory bandwidth. Plus, with the Noctua heatsink Iām getting (which is one of the three ābestā heatsinks) I should easily be able to hit about 4.0 GHz overclock.
Yeah, like I said in the technology thread, Iām transferring over my PowerColor 4870 1GB (seeing as I just got it a couple months ago, rofl). Iād like to crossfire it with another soon as well.
Iāll also be using the same PSU (Antec Earthwatts 500W), disc drive, case and hard drives. This is why building a computer is win in terms of money saving.
Well, apparently UPS requires you to sign for a season set of DVDs nowadays. Nevermind all the expensive computer equipment that they just leave on my porch all the time, and the dvds theyāve just shoved in my mail box disregarding any care for the package. No, a $30 set of DVDs requires a signature when Iām not even home. >.> At least tomorrow is my day off, otherwise Iād be pissed as hell.
Yeah, I found that out the hard way myself.
It makes absolutely no sense to me. Theyāve delivered much higher priced items, dvds, and dvd sets of similar value to me before without requiring a signature. Itās cold, dvds obviously canāt withstand 20 degree weather.

UPS= Unintelligent, Please Sign (Here)
Actually, I wonder if it is the people shipping it requiring it. Where did you order from?
Maybe Iām just pissed because Iāve otherwise had great service from them. Packages from them always come in good shape from my experience, they always deliver at the lower end of my expected shipping time, and theyāve never required me to sign except when I ordered something that was around $800 which is reasonableā¦ not $30.

I never had to sign for anything. Even consoles thatāve been shipped, I never did.
Somebody has a bug up their hole if they need a damn sig for $30.
At least they gave me an estimated time for tomorrow, which is thankfully a time Iāll be awake by. So Iām going to ask whoever comes by wtf happened.
As I said, I wonder if it is the place you purchased from that now require it.
