But … where’s the baked beans?
Mark Gosdin
Nemesis: “Baked beans are off!!!”
Saw this (and another) today at Dollar General. It was $1.15 cheaper than a can of regular Spam at $3.60, so figured to try it!
Yami: “First things first. It is A LOT greasier than spam is…”
Mikan: “Flavorwise, it isn’t too bad though. Like you can tell it isn’t spam, and it doesn’t crisp up nearly as well as spam does (probably cause it’s way greasier), but it’s close enough to be acceptable if you’re on a budget and can’t afford name brand spam!”
Nemesis: Not Spam, not Spam, egg, sausage and not Spam! He-he!"
Yami: “MAOUY COOKED TONIGHT!!! ”
Mikan: “Don’t mind her, guys…”
I smile. “Tonight, chicken, spinach, and mushroom Alfredo with garlic bread!!!”
Nemesis: “It is really good, Maou. ”
Corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, and onions!
Yami, Mikan, and Nemesis: “Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!!!”
This was dinner last night, but forgot to post it! Cheesy chicken and rice!
Yami: “You used broccoli cheddar soup as the cheese in it!!! It’s incredible!!! ”
Today is a TREET!!! He-he!
Yami: “It tastes exactly like Vienna Sausages… Charred like that, it tastes like charred Vienna Sausages… Not worth saving 0.20¢ over the generic stuff from Dollar General…”
Mikan: “Definitely not Spam, Definitely not Spam, Definitely not Spam, eggs, sausage and definitely not Spam!!! He-he!”
Yami: “Maouy finally got some time to relax, and he cooked!”
Nemesis: “The 7:30am chili dog!!!”
Some are with grilled onions and some are with raw onions. Had shredded mozzarella, and while it’s not cheddar, still good enough!
Papa Maou had made steaks last night. My piece was less than good… So…
The sauce on top is Japanese mayo I found at Walmart!!
Yami: “You turned a bad steak into a delicious dinner!!! It’s awesome!!! ”
There was leftover spaghetti in the fridge, and some green peppers, and some cabbage, and some onions, so… Spaghetti stuffed green peppers with pan fried cabbage and onions in soy sauce!!!
Yami: “Turned excess food into a delicious dinner!!! He-he! ”
Chicken fajitas with rice and beans! Didn’t have any tortillas…
Yami: “Absolutely delicious, Maouy!!! Doesn’t matter that we didn’t have the tortillas for them!”
Guys. This one is special. I had a meeting at work today, which doubled as a farewell party for one of our managers, who is leaving at the end of the week. As such, it was a potluck, so I made one of my top dishes: Maryland Crab Balls.
Yami: “OH MY GOD!!! YES!!!”
Nemesis: “YOU KILLED YAMI, MAOU!!!”
OH MY GOD, YAMI!!!
Mikan: “They were made for each other…”
This is the first meal I have had enough emotional energy to make since the crab balls two Mondays ago. Tika Masala!
Yami: “It’s absolutely delicious, Maouy. ”
Came into 8 super ripe avocado this morning, and since we did just get a gallon of ranch dressing…
Yami: “Semi homemade avocado ranch! It’s 7 avocado, about 2 tablespoons of ranch for each avocado, and one lime for a bit of added preservation! Not saying we’ll be able to eat it all before it goes bad, especially since Papa Maou and Jimmy don’t eat avocado, but at least we tried to save them! Now we need some baby carrots and cauliflower and broccoli…”
I take it ranch is your favorite?
A continuation from this morning!
A nice salad, using the avocado ranch from this morning, two hearts of romaine, two tomatoes, a cucumber, the final avocado, the remainder of the Sam’s club chicken, and some shredded mozzarella!
Yami: “An incredible healthy meal before he goes to work tonight!”
Not so much as favorite, as is most universal. A lot of recipes use ranch as a marinade or a coating on top of the dish, in addition to being a salad dressing, a condiment for a sandwich, or even a dip for vegetables!
That’s a good balance meal to prepare for a daily workload
So you’re saying you put that stuff on everything lol jk
Yes, you’re right. Ranch is versatile
