The Amusement Club returns in “YuruYuri♪♪”
Picking up right where we left off with the Amusement Club, Crunchyroll is adding the second season of YuruYuri to its summer lineup. The original cast returns for season two, as does director Masahiko Ohta (Rozen Maiden, Minami-ke).
Full details regarding territories and streaming dates for season two of YuruYuri will be announced soon. Crunchyroll’s synopsis:
Get some laughs with the return of YuruYuri!
The ‘Amusement Club’ foursome continue their unusual activities – though still not clearly defined, organized, or explained – in the illegally-occupied-by-the-club room of the former tea ceremony! While the Student Council continues to attempt to shut them down, we can all rest assured that these girls will continue to maintain the same level of laid back fun that made us fall in love with them in the first place!
Yuruyuri♪♪ season inspired by Namori’s manga to premiere on July 2
The latest 126-second promotional video for Yuruyuri♪♪, the second anime season inspired by Namori’s manga, debuted on Friday.
As in first season and the original manga, the second season follows four fun-loving schoolgirls who take over the former room of a tea ceremony club for their own “Gorakubu” (amusement club).
The first 12-episode anime season ran from July to September, and Crunchyroll will stream the second season outside Japan as it did for the first season. ALC Publishing announced on Thursday that it will release the original manga digitally through JManga.
However did Akari get to be so popular? This has got to be a dream! And so it is. But it’s great to see these characters again and I did like the cute Akari cookies. And Akari eats an entire cake in one bite! The ping-pong game with all the “hair effects” was hysterical too!
The dark and obscure ED animation of Chinatsu’s drawings of her and Yui was just fantasitclly funny though!
Gotta love poor Chinatsu and her inability to grasp that her art is less than savory.
Looks like this was the last episode, though we still get an episode 12 finale!
Looks like they were trying to make up for mostly ignoring Akari this season!
[details=spoiler]So, Akari goes back a year in time and tries to stop hereself from making various mistakes, which she believes is what led to her non-presence getting worse, thereby giving her less screen time.
An amusing little romp through the past, only to find out, it’s just a little story Kyoko cooked up in her head.[/details]
[details=spoiler]This episode was all about a dysfunctional version of Snow White as a stage plage put on by the main/side cast for the school.
-lol-
And man was it funny as hell![/details]
