After last week I guess they ran out of pretty girls again, so
–Girls Beyond the Wasteland #11 is now “Girls Wasteland 11”,
The On Demand Portal update matches what we’ve got on Cutting Edge, but put Utawarerumono II #18 into the separate Utawarerumono folder (as opposed to the folder for Utawarerumono: The False Faces) with Utawarerumono II #17. It has the title from Utawarerumono #18 from the first series but the blurb from Utawarerumono II #18) Also, Towanoquon #2 has no title; it’s just “Towanoquon”;
Some unfinished business from last week: while I was stubbornly holding out for the missing episodes and got desperate for something to watch, I tried seeing if it was time to watch Girls Und Panzer again. It wasn’t (still too soon), but I discovered that Girls Und Panzer #1 was missing the initial AN Groaning-Mecha-in-the-Bay intro. I took a quick look at the other episodes, and Girls Und Panzer #3 is also missing it. (Now for one of my patented parenthetical patently irrelevant asides: even though this show crosses two genres I generally have little interest in, all-girls school–or all-boys school, for that matter–and survival games, I’m fond of it anyway for its sheer level of wonderful WiJiT-y weirdness. I mean, the high school is a ship. A ship big enough so that it has a small city, farms, roads, mountains and forests on its deck. Mountains and forests through which, for after-school club activities, the girls drive tanks and shoot at each other. So that they can grow up to be more properly feminine women. This is only rivaled by that other show, Upotte, where the high school girls actually and literally and metaphysically are automatic assault weapons of various makes and nationalities…and they run through the halls carrying themselves and shooting the place up. But that one made my brain hurt after a while. Plus it began getting a little squicky…)
