Thanks for the update. Will begin to remove at next update. I normally don’t watch the SD versions unless the HD episode was missing. Does this mean they will add “more” HD shows/episodes in the place of SD?

I don’t have any official word on that, but it seems likely. Of course, it also means that any shows that were only done in SD won’t be sent any longer (mostly older shows).

Unless they take the SD versions and up-scale to HD, aka remastered version. Some shows when I watched, there appeared to be no difference between the SD and HD versions.

DirecTV Indiana 46544 - Follow-up on the five replacement episodes:
For brevity sake, I will refer to the replacement episodes that contained the TAN intro/outro as the “longer” episodes, and the original eps that did not contain them as the “shorter”.
Bottom line: All five of the “shorter” episodes had at least two multi-second audio/video skips embedded within the episode. None of the “longer” episodes had any skips - every one of them played without incident.
Please pass up the chain of command my thanks for the corrected episodes, and my request to do likewise with the other affected episodes, which have been detailed elsewhere in this thread.

Okay, so far twelve episodes have been received without AN intros (or at least without AN intros that play when you start the episode): Basquatch #1 & #2; Chunibyo #6 & #7; Pastel Memories #9, #10 & #11; Tsurune #3, #4 & #5; and Ushio & Toro #37, #38 & #39. On a hunch, I retested them all, and four of them now have AN promos when you start them: Chunibyo #6, Pastel Memories #9, and Ushio & Toro #37 & #38. Sound familiar? Those are the four episodes I reported as being re-dotted this week as though they were new. And that’s because they were new–newly-shipped copies of those same episodes, only with promos this time.
At least, that’s what I think is going on…

It’s been confirmed to me that they’re re-pitching the episodes that we’re telling them don’t have promos, so they should be showing up again. Hopefully, the re-pitched episodes have the promos and that will solve the sound problem many of you are experiencing.

I noticed that on Ushio & Tora #38 as well. Either the sound would mute while the video continued, or the video would freeze a bit and then jump ahead.

And, in a completely unrelated aside, one of my fellow dorm residents had an LP that had “Turn Me Over” recorded into the locked groove at the end of Side 1, and “Play Me Again” at the end of Side Two. Pretty funny, but you needed a completely manual turntable to get the full benefit - an automatic or semi-auto would pick the tone arm up before getting to the locked groove. I’d forgotten the name, but a bit of Googling turned up the James Gang’s “Yer Album”.

Sorry to butt in, but from what I’m seeing with DirecTV, it won’t matter much. If one is current, the re-pitched episodes will appear under the “Missed It? Watch Now!” category where the old one won’t. If one is not current, then simply check for the longer-running episode and play that one…

Glad to finally hear another DTV user confirm the skipping. From what I can tell, this (Aug. 6) is the third week that it’s happened. I noticed it, and others reported it two weeks ago, and I started reporting it last week (July 30).

DirecTV Indiana 46544 - update on skipping and missing intro/outro issues:
Since I last posted, two more “corrected” episodes have appeared: Chunibyo #8 and Dimension High School #3.
Here are the remaining available episodes that are currently missing the TAN intro/outro. I have confirmed that all of these contained at least two skips. The one that I have not confirmed (Chunibyo #5) is slated to expire in two days, so I didn’t bother), so we currently (Aug. 12) have a net of 8 episodes still missing intro/outro, and still skipping:
- Chunibyo #5, #7 (#5 set to expire Aug. 14, #6 & #8 fixed)
- Pastel Memories # 10, #11 (#9 fixed)
- Tsurune #4, #5 (#3 fixed)
- Ushio and Tora #39 (##37 and #38 fixed)
- Basquatch #1, #2 (No corrected episodes received yet)
