Anime Suggestions!
Ben-To

Plot:
While innocently reaching for some half-priced bento, Yō Satō finds himself beaten up on the floor of a supermarket. He soon learns that getting half-priced bento is an all-out brawl between customers. Yō is invited to the Half-Priced Food Lovers Club by one of the top fighters, Sen Yarizui, in order to train to compete in these battles.
This sounds unusual enough to like. You’re coming up with some really good suggestions there, Tonka!

Why is the food half-priced? Are they all fighting for spoiled/rotten food?

Normally, it’s because the store has more of some food item with expiration/sell by dates than they’re selling.

Milk for example, you’ll see a discount like this a couple days before the date on the carton.

Let’s see…

Arpeggio of Blue Steel

Story:

In the story, humanity lost much of its developed land due to global warming in the first half of the 21st century. Then, a “Fleet of Fog” loaded with super weapons suddenly appears all over the world. Without the ability to withstand this fleet, humanity was defeated and could no longer travel the seas. 17 years after the devastating naval war, Gunzō Chihaya and his friends somehow commandeer a “Fleet of Fog” submarine and rename it I-401. Together with Iona (I-401’s “mental model” or physical incarnation in humanoid form), they take on the “Fleet of Fog.”

The reason being that it makes a nice counter to Girls und Panzer as it’s a Naval Drama, it has a bit of fan Service (But not excessive) but that’s just me. It’s scheduled to come out this fall with the new Anime releases in October.

The Blue Submarine #6 ripoff, only with moe submarines?

…how do you know how much fanservice the anime has if it isn’t out yet?

Since wincest is all the rage, I nominate these:

Kiss x Sis

I Don’t Like You at All, Big Brother!

I’m psychic, or I’ve read the manga the show is based on. I like the first choice but the second is more accurate.

So the answer to my question is that you don’t. K. B)

There are five preview clips out for the anime. So I’ve seen the previews, but technically I haven’t seen the whole thing. You are correct.

can we get more yaoi and yuri animes??

May I ask what show your avatar is from?

-Joe

Well, I guess this one is no longer up for grabs.

Yes, more yuri and shojou-ai would be nice. In fact, I have a suggestion right here: Saki. It’s been out in Japan on BD now for a few years and I’m actually surprised that everyone has passed on it so far (although it’s streaming on CR right now).

Someone else mentioned Kyo No Go No Ni (Today in class 5-2) and I’d like to second that with the proviso that it be the OVAs and not the series.

I’ve been upgrading some of my titles from DVD to BD this year (including Elfen Lied, TYVM  ) and since I’ve upgraded both Chobits and Tsubasa to BD it would be very nice if I could also upgrade Angelic Layer to BD as well. I’d also like to PLAY Angelic Layer as well, but that’s a different discussion :silly:

And while we’re talking upgrading, my DVD copy of Kino’s Journey would make a nice upgrade to BD along with the two movies and Episode 0.

Since someone tossed out the twincest/incest card (along with kissXsis) I’ll toss out Yosuga No Sora to add to that list :stuck_out_tongue:

Another thing that’s in short supply is shows for the little ones. One can only watch Bottle Fairy and Little Snow Fairy Sugar so many times  So how about picking up Chii’s Sweet Home?
Vet: Chii seams to be female…
Vet: Let’s take her temperature…
Chii: WAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Chii: (papa no baka)

It’s not too late to start simulcasting the Fall 2013 season of Yozakura Quartet.

Also, the OVAs haven’t been been licensed yet.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=15279 is a single episode from 2013-09-09 (bundled with manga volume 14).

My suggestion is quite vanilla compared to everyone else but I would love to see Ladies vs Butlers on here. I watched it once a few years ago and it was hilarious, had a decent little slice of lifer/harem plot and a good amount of fan service. Overall I rate it at about an 8. I just think many others beside myself would enjoy watching the show.

I think http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Please_Teacher! needs to make an appearance…

I second this. It would fit well in Sentai/TAN’s portfolio. I would also suggest Please Twins.

know it will never happen, but still

Saint Young Men movie
